If they had a lot of the ball across their back four, and we sat off them till they get higher up the pitch they can have a pretty high possession stat. Clearly it's what you do with your possession that matters, the important stat is the shots at goal and on target - quite clearly this explains how they could lose the match 5-0.

Welling played well without threatening even after they went down to 10 men. None of the goals were anything special. A couple of defensive lapses that could have been punished. I would say 6's and 5's for all 14 players.

So because not of the goals were special they all get 6's and 5's, we won 5 nil, a sign of a good team is not scoring special goals it should be easy to score which for us it is. For example against Portsmouth we were terrible but scored a wonder goals does that make it a better performance , as for you saying they didnt cause any threat is that not a sign of good defending.

Quokka you could have watched it online... there were quite a few streams... there normally are for FA cup games. Check it out for the next round. I only watched it on tv ... but it was a thoroughly professional performance... I'd give them all 7's except Kennedy, who was everywhere and gets an 8, and Wkye who gets a 9 for his goals. they got 60% possession as they had a lot of the ball knocking it between their defenders... once they got to the half way line, after 5 or 6 pointless passes, we pressed them, won the ball and broke quickly. We never really looked in any danger and looked like scoring every time we attacked. Good solid performance in what could have been a tricky tie.
