Seems like he's quite good at this business lark.

And who is it that's saying that he hasn't a pot to piss in?

"And certain figures inside CUFC are saying that he hasn't a pot to piss in.
You couldn't make it up."

Actually they can, Griff, and they have.

If you want a real laugh, someone who, allegedly, really does not have a pot to piss in, take a look at the person who runs Carlisle Glass. Or Longhorn, as it was so poorly renamed (hope they didn't actually pay anyone to come up with that stupid name change)

I'm no accountant, but I know when a company is long overdue another conveniently timed fire...

Wasn't the all-knowing Mr Piggy one of the biggest anti-Lapping brigade. Maybe not a god after all.

The logo was designed by a student who won a 'competition'. Dont think the prize was much.

Was it a night out with Steve Pat, a unique opportunity to absorb the acumen and wisdom that has propelled him to the rarefied heights of business genius he currently enjoys? Alan Sugar is still jealous.

Second place got two nights out with Steve Pat, etc.

The dodgy [censored] eh? The custodians were obviously right to sack him off, bloke hasn't got a clue what he's doing...

Best interests of the club and all that.

Aye, someone with proven business acumen, and a reasonably large pot, shouldn't be allowed anywhere near our Club, eh? I mean, why should we need such a person when we can simply be allowed to generate debts year on year, underwritten by a kindly but ageing uncle? Especially when we have a wonderful billionaire with a pot the size of the Atlantic waiting in the wings. I mean, in which universe would that be sensible?

To be honest, Brunton Park is inhabited by builders at present, when what is really needed is a competent psychiatrist.

Still believe that AL and his business plan isc the best way forward for the club hopefully he will come back with a property take over to rid us of the three amigos.

The thing about Lapping is, he seems to have the experience and connections we need to move forward where, despite what muppets like Silentstan, windermere lad say about Jenkins and Nixon, they don't ,as has been proven over the last five or six years of abject failure. The fact they've bastardised Laffy's ideas and treat him so shabbily tells you all you need to know about the morals of the three cretins in charge.

As I've posted on another thread, why was AL only prepared to commit £100,000 of his own money if he loved the club so much AND, as is being pointed out is loaded?
It seems miniscule compared to AJ's input over the years.

Because he doesn't want sole responsibility in the club, and wants it divided over various businessmen rather than having just himself at the helm

Maybe because his plan would have involved us being self sufficient to the extent that he wouldnt have to loan the club £400k per annum?

Andrew Lapping's proposals generated a lot of excitement amongst the fans, this board certainly went into overdrive at the time. What are we left with? Long term uncertainties and possibly the most low key promotion ever.
