Should be a comfortable win today. Morecambe are pretty shite and haven't won in seven.

Only expecting the one change today!

Also just noticed that Morecambe have only named 6 subs, well that's according to the BBC Sport website. A bit strange when you are the home team & would have thought they would have players available at short notice if somebody gets injured & takes ill close to team sheet handing in.

Possibly the worst half I've seen this season.

Gillesphey is fuvking shit. Brough can't be worse than him surely.

Also the referee is a little c**t. I wouldn't have blamed Gilliead if he'd gone and put a stud through his bald head at the end of the first half. Just taking the piss.

Lummy is right. This is turgid . They are bullying us and deserve the lead. Curle needs to earn his coin.

Ref is poor but we took an age to get ready to take that corner at half time. Fans were screaming at him to hurry up but he dawdled along and ref blew for half time. That incident just about sums up the attitude out there.
Going to need to raise this performance by 75% if we are to get anything out of this.

Saying that, Pompey, Wycombe and Leyton Orient all won, maybe a few draws in there would have been better. Either way, play offs in touch

funny as, lumsdon going to get the first one and then later jp sounded like he had to escort some intruder out the media area who was effing and jeffing :-)

Then the morecambe lot reckon they were hard done by after trying to kick us off the pitch in the first half, boo-hoo it wasn't a pen, then we should have had a foul :-)

God awful performance but Great result... Hope useless Comley awful... Two wingers not involved two isolated strikers overrun and no imagination in midfield.... Two fullbacks not contributing... Joyce came on made a difference believe it or not.. Then finally matched them up in midfied won it.... We should have hammered them.... Hope wasteful... asamoah scored a beaut he would have blasted over... I hope Curle learns from that shambles 5 mins got us out of jail... Doesnt disguise for 80 we were shite

yeah, it was absolute dire. Curle has been tinkering with the side all season, but apart from one enforced change, it was the same team that lost to Wimbledon.

it was my 1st away game this season so i was not expecting to see us dominate the game, but we didnt start to look a threat until Hery and Asamoah came on.......I was amazed to see the ref give a penalty to us though, mainly due to the fact he never gave much during the game. Im not sure what it was for either as Wyke looked to have stumbled backwards when up for a high ball.

i certainly wont complain though as these poor decisions pan them selves over a season. I will take them 3pts any day of the week.....but the performance?! no thanks.

I was directly behind the goal, and it's was a stonewall pen. Wyke was grappled round the chest with 2 arms and hauled down when the defender realised he had to do summat.

On another note, I got asked by a few lads as to why I turned my back on the pen. Am I the only 1 who refuses to watch a Carlisle pen in regular play?

To be honest I thought the second half was a decent enough performance, we were passing it a lot more compared to the hoof it panicking of the first half. They only really troubled us in that second half once when Hanford had to save a 1v1 against Ellison, but other than that it was all us, it just didn't look like we were going to get that equaliser. McQueen's volley was absolutely begging for someone to get on the end of, there was that scramble where I thought Wyke or Ibehre or someone were just going to burst the net, but it just wasn't happening for us. Then all of a sudden we got the penalty and as soon as we scored I felt they would collapse and they did. We actually could and should have got a third.

First half was atrocious, second half was much improved.

I agree with that summary crunchblue.
The linesman on our side of the pitch was dire and didn't have a clue about offside. he also had to wait several times for the ref to tell him which way to flag for throw-ins.
He certainly got plenty of abuse for his inept performance.
Their no.15 spent so much time on the ground "allegedly" injured that I thought he would take root.

How about the Lino (and ref) on the other side of the pitch. First half, link flagged for Morecambe throw, ref awarded Morecambe throw, Morecambe surrounded the ref and he changed his mind to a Morecambe corner

We played well for the last 15 minutes but it could've been all over by then had Ellison squared the ball to an unmarked man with an open net to make it 2-0 but he chose to go for goal instead, lucky us that he did.

Very average performance with no imagination whatsoever apart from lump it forward. I'm now convinced that Gillesphey must have come for free alongside Gilliead as he is just not up to it. I know the LB position is supposed to be uncomfortable for him but he just blasts the ball upfield whenever it comes to him without even looking as he doesn't want the ball anywhere near him and surely Brough has to be a better option now. He wasn't the only one hiding though and too many to mention. I thought we lost Midfield early on to a pretty average Morecambe side and in the end it was a smash and grab job for a change.

That's two Saturdays in a row now we've been lucky to come away with full points but one thing is for sure if we play anything like that against Orient or Northamptom there will be no way of getting back into it as they will be out of sight.

Yeah looking back I did build gillespheys performance up a bit because:

1.I have been in his shoes, young academy lad coming into "real mans football",and every match is tougher than the last one, like gilliead and Comley, they will have good days and bad days almost weekly, but they have to learn somewhere.
2.I feel he was up for the aggressive side yesterday and put himself about, early on his man was dangerous but after 30 mins or so he didn't get a kick.
3.I liked how he realised it wasn't the day for academy football and so as someone said went a bit longer with his passing, but I have to say some of them balls were more than a long ball as it was down the sides for Jabo.Maybe not near MOM,but I think he done well today so good on him.

What a game, still buzzing now,I said st half time this won't turn into a great free flowing performance today,we just need to "find a way".We have characters in that dressing room and calmness on the touch line, trust more than anything, the lads pulled it off!

Great seeing all the families coming into the game and youngsters, and then the young lads marched in by police singing United! Who I must say as much as people look at them and think trouble, they were tapping youngsters on the head on their way in and cuddling young lads with scarves on,blue and white family!

As for afterwards,I think this is where you see that me and James Phillips are chalk and cheese,I wish I had the demeanour to calmly tell someone I'm not a cheat and he can't swear, then report him........but I simply can't!
I pretty much fancied the ruck!!!
Enjoy your hangovers today!

Oh and one more thing.........Assssaaaaaammmmmoooooooooaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

An absolute pish poor performance, defunct of ideas attack wise until last 10. Wyke was almost playing out wide most of the game... what use was that?.. Sorry but getting shot of Dicker is a mistake..Midfield is offering nowt at present...Dress this win up as a smash and grab job but at present we keep playing this way we wont finish anywhere near the play offs. Grainger is a huge miss too..hurry back. I also think its time to fetch Brough back in the team as Gillesphey is not up to it at the minute

I have to agree with MRF, the team is missing Dicker. Although I didn't rate him, the team definitely played much better with him in the centre of midfield as he had the experience and could receive passes from Joyce, Kennedy and Hery and link the play. Joyce, Kennedy and Comley all like putting the tackles in but they need someone cool, calm and collected to pass the ball to after they've won it.

It's only when they've gone do you really appreciate the likes of Thirlwell and Dicker.
