Cameron and co are cacking because they know that if we leave, they will be totally responsible and accountable for the running of the country. No more passing of the buck to the EU, the buck will stop with them. We as the electorate then have the opportunity to show our displeasure at the ballot box.

hasn't he stated that if we vote leave, he will resign the next day?

He may have Mojo, my comment about the future is a more general one really. It shows which politicians have the guts to stand up and be counted and to take the responsibility.

I count Corbin in those who are prepared to go it alone despite his alledged remain stance. He did say on the last leg that he was only about 7.5 out of 10 for remain. I suspect it's less than that!

He can just fook of. I'm voting leave. The only thing he hasn't said (yet) is that if we leave the Vikings will invade and rape the lot of us. Greasy conservative [censored].

Whereas the out campaign haven't used any fear tactics have they ? Farage basically saying that women will be raped by foreigners if we stay in.

As I said on abother thread or possibly earlier on this, it's been a race to the bottom and neither campaign can have any pride in the way they've conducted themselves.

The only reason these politicians have 'shown they have guts' is because they want a promotion.

And as i said above youd expect better from the priminister. If he felt that strongly about it he shouldnt have appeased his back benchers and we shouldnt be having this referendum. At least Milliband stood by what he thought.

Like I say, I think both sides have been as bad as each other in scaremongering and fudging the numbers to support their views. I swear if I hear either side talk about £350m a week anymore I'll jump off a Cliff.

We should but we don't. Same from him/them in the lead up to the general election in terms of lies. Even Labour to an extent spouted nonsense for media coverage but little of that got seen because papers were plastered with pictures of Miliband eating a bacon sandwich.

Whole thing is a complete joke and should be treated as such.

I agree, Cameron is coming over as a right bully with his threats of Armageddon if we vote leave, pissing me right off. Give him some credit though for giving us this long awaited vote, it would never have happened under Labour. Also he should be applauded for allowing his MP's the freedom to chose which side they're on. Unlike Labour whose hierarchy have bullied their MP's, including Corbyn, to fall in line with the Stay campaign or suffer the consequences. At least it proves to us all that Corbyn has no backbone.

If there is an out vote chances are we will end up with the buffoon Boris in charge if you think Cameron is bad you'll be in for a shock. Bye Bye NHS along with any sort of care about anyone but the rich. The Tory party are bereft of any sort moral responsibility. Politicians of all parties are all self interested egotistical gits.

if Cameron walks, then it's a vote to whoever puts themselves forward for the job, not necessarily Boris. and if they are crap in the job it's only for a couple of years til the next general election when they can be voted out.

Yes he did say he.d resign the next day if leave win and as theres no way Osborne will work with Boris we should be be rid of at least 2 of them [all three with any luck ] and Corbyns appearance on The Last Leg on Friday confirmed for me he has no intention of ever being Prime Minister somthing which they seemed to agree with this morning on Sunday Politics, Andrew Neil seems convinced he knows what Jeremy and his mates are up to and it doesnt involve him standing in a General Election as leader of the Labour Party.

DB how many times does Farage have to explain what he actually said about what went on in Cologne on NYE ?

What he actually said was that the 1000 in the Mob that night would in 5 years time be eligible for German [and therefore by default EU ] passports which is a fact [ so long as they dont get nicked for anything in the meantime ] and would therefore then be able to come to England if they so wanted another fact.At no point did he say all of them would come [just they could if they wanted to ] or that any of them would definitely rape anyone. What he said was that it was possible they could which is also a fact.

This week I think things will happen big time. The old familiar saying a week is a long time in politics will by next weekend be proven once again. Meantime I would urge all supporters to concentrate on Carlisle United and support the management and BOD. That is what is important for Carlisle.

:) Mojo Cameron stated in 2010 if he did'nt get migration down below 100,000 he would resign, Lets be honest there's alot of arse nipping by the Snouts in the Trough brigade in Brussels if we do leave, Cos as one of the biggest contributers 350 mill per week it may signal the end of the EU. So for the sake of sanity vote OUT. Camerons an out and out lier this was a guy 12 months ago was gonna take us out of the EU.....

Ive no idea i dont know any of them and have no wish to do so.

But what i do know is if that had been a 1000 British Guys accused of this the riot police would have been in ,everyone rounded up and as many of those who could be charged would be the rest would be given a good hiding and put on the first ferry back to Blighty. But what has happened to this lot apart from a few minor public order charges theyve all be given extra support and social workers despite a number of German women having made statements alleging rape. But no sign of a ferryback to Syria booked.

Does it not have to be proven first? Or is an allegation enough to have someone deported? Is that the way Farage and Boris want our country to go? Guilty until proven innocent, back to the middle ages, why not bring back stocks and public execution, maybe even ducking stools and scold's bridles etc.

Leave campaign trying to use the massacre in Orlando for political gain.

Leaflet says "act now before before we see an orlando-style atrocity here before too long".

Absolutely disgusting to use something like this for political gain.

I agree with you, unacceptable. Sadly though, even in the UK there are nutters who may well hope to emulate this attrocity and this cannot be ignored. Fortunately, unlike America, high powerd guns are more difficult to obtain, Our supermarkets don't sell them!

It does make you wonder how many atrocities like this have to happen before they actual bring in some controls. This guy was supposed have had serious mental health issues and had been investigated by the FBI in the past, and yet was still allowed to by automatic weapons.

Leave campaign trying to use the massacre in Orlando for political gain.

Leaflet says "act now before before we see an orlando-style atrocity here before too long".

Absolutely disgusting to use something like this for political gain.

They would of been failing in their duty if thay hadnt pointed it out to the less politicaly aware and switched on people and big up the BBC for giving it main bulletin coverage

They were quick at getting that printed on a Sunday and distributed.

No not at all i just know what would make a better country and it pisses me off when people moan about having the reality pointed out to then and then comparing it with the increasingly desperate bullshit thats flowing from Cameron Osborne and cos mouths if they had any sense theyd be better off employed making sure Corbyn doesnt lose it for them by changing his mind back again at the last minute.

A quote from Lord Braggas reported in the N&S.;

Melvyn Bragg said his main reason for staying in Europe could be understood by looking at cenotaphs. He cited the impact of Europe's wars, including on his family.

“If we get out, it will seem easy,” he said. “It will be easy.

"We will float off into the Atlantic Ocean, on this leaky old boat, and slowly, surely, we'll submerge and drown as a nation of any significance.”

So Melvin, we're currently in the EU and our country is a "Leaky old boat" that could sink at any moment? really? That's as bad as the old duffers running united.

Lets get out so we can fix the boat.

Seems to me the out campaigners are ignoring all the remain in arguments regardless of the validity of a lot of the experts non govt or not, to risk diving into the unknown purely on largely emotive issues about control. I'm still not convinced either way about arguments on both sides, personally I'm far from happy having decisions on what happens in Cumbria made in London by a govt who are in power through a flawed and outdated voting system.

Well seeing that Carlisle and Penrith both have Conservative MPs what do you suggest instead?

Should you be asking yourself "am I happy to risk further integration into the EU,and allow the unelected EU commissioners and our minority of MEP's make decisions about things that will affect the UK"?

Absolutely agree, the out campaign and supporters seem to have taken a moral high ground and a view that their way is the best way regardless and that there can be no possible positives of staying in, but leaving will be a land of milk and honey.

When the 1975 vote to join the EC happened, was that not a 'diving into the unknown'? Everybody saying 'nobody knows what will happen if we leave' - wasn't that very much the case 40 years ago too?

Pasty:
How do you think the EU Commissioners are appointed?
Ans, by the elected members of the European Parliament in terms of the President and then each elected member state gov appoints their own. Our own Civil Service is at the top appointed by the old boys public school network.
We have PR in European elections and there is no unelected House, like the House of Lords.
The whole out campaign has a flagrant and irresponsible disregard for facts and it seems to me that half of the people are developing some kind of jingoistic hysteria (whipped up by self serving Boris and Nige) and frankly just can't be arsed to find out or even consider inconvenient truths and would rather wrap themselves in a Union Jack and float off on HMS Boris and hope for the best.
And of course Cameron is right about pensions and the NHS. If your economy goes down the pan then so will your public service.
And Brown was right today over workers rights.
Farage, his "so what" response to the £ falling is ridiculous. A major fall would increase inflation as we import so much and then interest rates would have to rise putting up borrowing costs for all.

Deano, to some extent that would have been true but we are where we are now and are so integrated that the divorce will be almost impossible and certainly will be very messy and take many, many years.
Even then if we want to remain in the single market we will have to accept Free Movement of people and EU legislation like Norway, over which we will have NO say at all. It will hugely embarrassing for Nige and Boris but eventually they will have to agree.
Meantime the uncertainty will hit currency, markets and therefore pensions, the Pound will fall putting up inflation and interest rates will rise. The economy will contract and jobs will be lost.
The risks of leaving are huge. Staying may not be perfect but Leaving has so much risk that in all honesty I'm staggered that most folk are just ignoring. It's time to get fingers out of ears.
