Hi all,

I am moving up to Carlisle next Friday, from the south east. I was wondering if any of you lot meet up before home games, or even gather together in the ground? I would be interested in meeting up for a pint, if any of you guys are?

I also have a 7 seater car/wagon, which I am looking to use for me and 6 others for away games. I will not be going to every game home or away, due to family and work commitments. I will be looking to do about 8 home games and 5/6 away.

So if we could meet up for some home games and perhaps see what away games we would want to go to. I would like to fill the car, to cut costs, but am happy to drive to Plymouth midweek or Morecambe on a Saturday.

Let me know, as the offer is there

Right was thinking of doing 1 away game every 2 months over a 10 month season.

August
October
December
February
April

Ok not much, but something to plan?

It seems, that this, what I thought was a good idea, is not so! Perhaps I had my beer brain in motion! I cannot guarantee the crisp cake, or the same seat.

So no one up for the Plymouth Tuesday night game then?

Saturday home games you can generally find me and Griff whinging about all things Carlisle United in the car park, we don't limit our whinging to the club either all of life can be involved at times. There are numerous others who join in from time to time, and you are quite welcome to just pitch up and moan, or even be extremely upbeat, kidneyblue used to be. If you don't know us, we're easy to spot, we're the 2 miserable old gets, one with a stupid deerstalker, the other with some ridiculous old punk band on his t shirt.

Well, we are all moved up, been on holiday. Come back home and now finished setting up my business. Cumbrian cheesecake company! Now I am ready to start watching Carlisle United on Saturday 2pm. Now where should a 40 year old man go in the ground? I like a sing song, but my South East accent will stick out a mile!

Singing? Is that a southern thing?

If you want a singsong and any sort of atmosphere, I'd definitely recommend the Paddock.

If you like a singsong and any sort of atmosphere I wouldn't recommend Brunton Park altogether. Any kind of enjoyment is frowned upon and quickly stamped upon by Nixon's henchmen the Stasi.

Feel free to tell me to mind my own business (or something stronger) but your willing to drive from Carlisle to Plymouth midweek to watch cufc but you don't know which area of brunton park to go in? Have I got that right?

100% correct. I have been to Brunton Park once in my life and that was in the away end. I was born in Southampton and they will always be my club. As you know you cannot change this.

Me and my family have moved up to Carlisle from Cambridge and want to make a new home for us and our family. I want to watch Carlisle as this is where I now live and I love football. I also want to make new friends in the city and football is a fantastic way of doing this. What better way, than going to away games with like minded people.

I will be at the game Saturday and will be bringing my son and daughters. Yes I would prefer them to support Saints but as they are growing up in Carlisle I would not mind them getting passionate about the club where they grew up. I would rather this, than them becoming Man U, Chelsea, Newcastle or Arsenal fans..... Liverpool is not a choice!!

So not that strange, but Pkymouth would probably have been a dire trip!

Really looking forward to the game tomorrow, but from what I have read and the feeling among some supporters I work with, the tide could be turning. This season could be interesting. I am going for 6th/7th place finish. Plays offs!

An afternoon at Brunton park should soon knock any of this ridiculous optimism out of you :)

I am still going to games and nothing has changed the way I feel about the chances of promotion!

Still open to offers in my 7 seater for away games, get a bit bored going on my own!

Now give me some credit, any fool can see, read, that this is far from the truth.

Just think what could be done, if the club was run with a little ambition!!!
