Orange Is The New Black - Surprisingly watchable considering it's about a load of women in prison!

Would highly recommend The Wire and The Shield.

Sons of Anarchy was good - dipped a bit in season 3/4 but overall was extremely good.

We have just finished watching the first season of Homeland which also was good - halfway through the second season at the moment.

House of cards was also a good watch for the first couple of seasons.

If your after black comedy I'd go for Lilyhammer if you have Netflix - seems to have gone under the radar a bit and by far one of the best things on there

It's been cancelled so don't expect any more unfortunately. Shame because it was a brilliant show, can't see any reason for them to have cancelled it.

The Wire, House of Cards, Californication and Lost are all good ones to watch. There's a relatively new show called Mr Robot which seems to be doing extremely well, I'm starting watching soon so will check in on here and say how it is.

True Detective series 1 was brilliant. Series 2 is on at the moment, gets better every episode. Fortitude was ok, stuck with it til the end. Just finished watching Wayward Pines too!

Totally agree. All the Sky hype couldn't mask the fact that it was just a bit boring.

Just started True Detectives.

Utopia was great.

The Returned was a good series on channel 4. French with subtitles but scared the shit out of me with sinister soundtrack by Mogwai.

Thought Wayward Pines was gash, got cancelled too so there must of been a few that agreed with me.

Orange is the new black is not bad for a chick series.

Argo was suprisingly very good.

Under The Dome is ok.

In a totally different direction, Parks and Recreation, I thought, was fantastic. Short, 20 mins episodes, made me laugh (and i'm a miserable sod). Only downside is that you've got to get through the first season which was quite poor. Totally different series from then on in though.

I'm not saying Wayward Pines was fantastic, but it wasn't that bad. Filled an hour whenever I caught up with it on Sky+. Was only 10 episodes I think, so not like it went on forever.

The returned has an English language version on Netflix. I tried watching the french one, but couldn't deal with the subtitles. Really enjoy the American version though. Only about ten episodes in it so easily bingeable in a weekend.

Actually, it was only ever written as a one off series - was never meant to be any more than was originally made as they were from a series of novels. However, M. Night Shyamalan and the author have apparently have ideas for a second series.

I must be the only person who doesn't get the Breaking Bad hype. Mid way through the second series and watch it when nothing else is on, just find it far too slow paced.
Not much on at the moment like, Banshee is pretty decent, Blacklist and The Following have just finished recently which were good although possibly gone on too long now.
The Tunnel was a decent one off series few years back based on The Bridge a Swedish/Norweigen programme which is meant to be better version if you can be bothered with the subtitles.

Yeah but you need to watch the first 2 to keep up with the story. Slowly working my way through waiting for it to get going.

Another good one I watched on dvd was Love Hate based on the Irish drug trade.

Just meant it's not like some programmes where you could skip a couple of episodes and pick up the story.
I would of give up in first series and people said keep going so I did, now midway through second series and people still saying the same.

Love Hate was on RTE and most shown only in Ireland I think possibly 1st series made it over here which is how I seen it in first place but then had to get the rest on dvd.

Got breaking bad wrapped up last night, took some getting thru but very much worth sticking with, thoroughly enjoyed.
Now the big decision, what next, love/hate looking favourite.
Going to catch up with Ray Donovan and the planner before embarking on our next box set.

Well, seeing as Sky (the b4stards) have taken Banshee off boxsets, I've got stuck into SoA. Just rattled off series one. Can't believed I've left it to now to start watching it.

Also, was gutted how True Detective 2 ended. :(
