Big hard lads picking on the 5 Crawley lads on Warwick Road after the match.

Embarrassed for you and my City.

They're a disgrace. So to the parents, ground them if they ask for a hat with goggles on.

Were they the tosspots from the Warwick, 30 odd year old standing on the barrier, eyes were as glazed as f***. About 5 of them.

Not missing the point at all, totally get it. Not being a smart arse either Moylesey. Too many people complain about anti-social behaviour but then just look away when they witness it. A 'c'mon lads, we've just stuffed them, no need for this' is completely out of the question? Fair enough I wasn't there and might have been a tastier situation than I imagine it to be.

I was on Warwick road after the game and saw none of these problems. All I saw was young lads singing Carlisle going up.

Ah, that's okay then. I was clearly making it up. If you didn't see it it can't have happened can it..

We just had got out of the Squash club car park when a load of kids started running hell for leather. We drove right up to town but never saw anything untoward.
You have any of that new mushroom soup Moylsey from the paddock cabin.?

Police were doing walk throughs in the pubs after the game and asking on the pub-watch radio after the game looking for a group of youths so I would say something happened. Bet the youths were nowhere to be seen at 7pm when 300 Newcastle fans were held at the station awaiting their connection.

Your aspiring to be a miserable old man? Very strange.

Even if they were saying that, why did you not simply be an adult and ignore them?

Bit more on this for the hard of understanding.

We walked with these five or six lads from the ground - they walked up the right hand side of Warwick Road about ten feet in front of us. They were clearly on a day out and no doubt had had a few beers. They were singing all the way up the road - mainly about how shit they were and absolutely nothing confrontational until we got to just short of the Victoria Place. At this point they were noticed by the Warwick Road End brains trust who decided they needed a kicking and one lad in particular adopted the hands by the side 'come on then, do you want some' stance in the middle of the road at which point the Crawley lads shut promptly up and stared to panic. They were then rushed by the 20-30 Carlisle lads and ran like f*ck - what was funny (and sad at the same time ) was watching all the first and second year acolytes joining in, about thirty of them - one threw a piece of paper at the Crawley fans which in retrospect was quite funny.

There was no confrontational behaviour from the Crawley fans at all - they'd had a few beers and were full of gallows humour and a bit loud - as Carlisle fans we've all been there...

I actually did think about speaking up but would probably have got a group kicking for my trouble. The Crawley lads scattered to the wind with various hard men running after them in large groups and they all disappeared off Warwick Road and various lanes - what happened after that is anyone's guess.

My point remains though - a group of thirty odd picking on five or six away fans out for a good time and with no malice or even cheek being thrown is a bit much. I don't think its acceptable and its not what I want my team or my town known for.

Shame all round.
