Still think everyone on here should have to register with their passport and have the photo from it as their avatar.

Too many people talking themselves up but still being anonymous.

Fully respect mattcufc for working in the public eye and letting everyone know who he is on here. Even though Lloyds probably means nothing to many on here as many don't seem to live in Carlisle.

Fourth, had one banned I think - last one was by nickname but nobody else seems willing to use the nickname they are known by so decided to change it.

That above about the passport is related to you actually. One day you went on about being in charge of 180 people in your job, the next day you were on about "wooftas" in relation to gays - found it strange that a boss of so many people was using language like that! Doesn't offend me, just found it odd for someone with clearly a decent job and a lot of responsibility to use those words openly. Probably be different if you were using your own name on here I expect.

Without anonymity there would be no messageboard as I doubt a lot of what is said on here would be if people knew who was saying it and definitely wouldn't be said face to face between some posters.

As I've said to you before I have to watch what I say a lot of times as our company has a massive social media policy which could easily be breached by entering an argument with someone on here am sure others will be in the same boat.

Sometimes I would like the anonymity and another username so can speak what I really think but at same time have met plenty of people through work because they have introduced themselves having read post on this board.

Wouldn't be make any difference to me if I used my own name on here, I reckon there are 20 or 30 fellow boarders that I have met on this or the CUFC Online forum, I've never felt the need to change my username or hide away from anyone, as I would never post anything on here that I wouldn't be prepared to say to someones face.

As many will tell you I can be a cheeky, sarcastic [censored] at times, most of the stuff I post on here has an element of humour or irony attached to it, granted that may not come across well on a written forum by people who don't know me, but I can live with it.

Fair enough. Wouldn't put myself in that position mind regarding work - more trouble than it's worth. Only know one person who has been around you - didn't have much to say either way. Still not convinced you know some people too well who you do know off here. Not very important to me at the end of the day in all honesty, just some bloke who goes England matches and lives in north west London.

Think some people don't need any anonymity in all honesty - they are never offensive or sky like some people can be. There are some who are though. Plenty of message boards do exist where people can only post once everyone knows who they are.

Not a fan at all of this where the moderators can just edit posts they don't like on here. Pretty bloody disgusting really but you give some people the slightest bit of power it goes to their heads.

Would only carry this on in person with you out of decency to them - in London tomorrow for the match but wouldn't go out my way to meet you, going to be hard work enough having a drink by the sounds of it.

Apologies, made that assumption about northwest London due to you mentioning Wealdstone a lot - again not very important to me.

You keep saying things are not important to you so I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to say here, I very rarely have any communication with you, and when you say "them", I'm not really sure who you are referring to. I've never asked a single person I know about you, because I'm not really interested, you do your thing and good luck to you, it makes no difference to my life.

It's good to here you don't want to go out of your way to meet me, because I haven't offered to meet you, nor am I likely to.

Fair dos, that's fine by me but I would only say those things in person, be unfair to do it on here. You've made plenty of comments towards me on here, maybe you have been drunk when doing them like that one you made when you logged in to this board at about 4am whilst in Turin at an England match one night! Still never explained that one despite being asked many times but we all do daft stuff when pissed.

Can't see any point carrying this on now but you did ask me a question and I answered it. You were interested enough to ask that.

Richard, I've made comments to lots of people on here, it is a messageboard after all. You'll probably find that most of my comments are made during working hours, as I sit in an office all day and don't really want to open a laptop when I get home, so I hardly post drunk. But something tells me that you have the hump about a comment made a couple of years back, which is eating away at you.

If you want to say something or ask me any questions then that's fine, CCU has my number (I believe he will be one of the "them's you are referring to), get it off him and drop me a text or give me a call, I don't have a problem with you doing that.

I don't get all this using real name stuff. It prob wouldn't matter if everyone put their full names and addresses I still wouldn't know who they were. Maybe we should go a step further and have to put a picture and where we sit or stand. That said I don't take this seriously anyway, no point in falling out with anyone.

Always dodge that Turin one like. Nah would have to be in person, come over if you are ever around us.

Depends really pal when folk get loud on a pc when in person they are pretty quiet. Got folk calling people "scabs" today on one thread, pretty needless and cowardly to me and I am sure other people agree but also some people don't. Down to the person I guess. Problem arises when folk think that just because someone wants to know who someone is who is getting loud that they are going to give them a good hiding or something, far from it for me - just like to know who people are who call others anonymously really.

I had one idiot one day messaging me telling me to kill myself on here, just glad the same user never sent the same type of message to some other users who really do get down on themselves as previous posts by them have shown. Also had a couple of young lads ring me apologising like hell on a Monday morning for a Sunday night pissed up post! Got time for one of them now as when I saw him in a Club a few months ago he came over apologising and bought us a drink, everyone does daft stuff pissed and fair play to him for accepting that - would happily have a day on the piss with him now for that, realised he had been a cock and took the rap - worst thing was he seemed to think I was going to flog him, he would probably have smashed me to bits!

Fair enough. Like I say though unless it was someone I already knew though it wouldn't be helpful really. If I put my name on you still wouldn't know who I was. I suppose I don't try and upset people too much though and don't really take any offence either.

Like I say for some people it would make no difference at all but for others it would.

Give you one tip mind, cool it with the roulette stuff - after having one pal throw himself off a roof due to a gambling addiction and another financially destroyed due to them I don't find the topic funny. Still feel bad about not helping one poster on here much in relation to the issue, although I think I did much more than many people would have.

Just the odd comment about FOBTS and crap, been a few now - latest one was because I mentioned I had been in that Coral in Hudds where the chap off the BBC show was working! You maybe don't mean them in the way they come across to be fair.

Without wishing to continue the above, that is the problem with social media nowadays, isn't it?

Some people prefer the anonymity so they can act like keyboard warriors. It takes all sorts to make the world go round, your average wander through the Paddock on a Saturday will tell you that, why should the message board be any different?

Different people have different boundaries and tolerance of what is and isn't acceptable, so situations will always arise. There are certain posters on here who will attract abuse as soon as they post. We can't all be the same.

People need to get some perspective in their lives if they think that a football forum is normality. As above, I have probably met a couple of dozen posters on here who I can put a face to, of that I would say around 5 or 6 I would sit and have a beer with and have done in the past. The rest are just people who you say hello to who share a common goal in wanting to see CUFC do well.

I used to have some massive run ins with Piglet on the other forum, but I wouldn't wish him any harm or want to punch him in the face when I see him. I actually quite like the bloke, we just used to have a tendancy to push each others buttons.

Edited to Add,

Richard, you also have to take in to account that when someone posts something in all innocence, you can't expect them to know everyone's background and whether someone else will find it upsetting, no-one would ever post anything.

Ah right. I asked that as watching the show he was on he didnt seem to have many scruples. For what its worth i hate the FOBTs i watched the programme the other week narated by a woman whos husband had committed suicide and it wasnt very nice at all. I cant remember ever posting anything in favour of them as theyre a total con. I have prob made posts about matched betting that i know you dont particularly like but honestly cant remember me saying owt in favour of FOBTs.

To be honest I thought you were taking the piss as I can get quite emotional when talking about them and you had seen that and sensed a gap to exploit. Seen stacks of folk mullered by them and people happy to push them no matter what harm they do to folk, hell of an eye opener seeing what some people will do to make money like from those things. Maybe hard to relate to it unless you have seen addicts in action with your eyes - by that I mean drink, drugs or whatever. Certainly know I couldn't till I saw them myself.

You are right moose, just always think some folk wouldn't say certain stuff on here in person.

Could go on forever about it anyway.

Nah not at all. Heres a example for you. I got restricted on 888sport months ago. Withdrew most of my balance but had a few pence left in so went into there slots room. Logged onto a game and the default setting was £10 a line x 25 lines. How many people in the past will have innocently clicked spin and lost £250 in one go. Its fu cking discraceful, they should all be set to the minimum. They dont mind robbing people blind but if someone has the audacity to find a couple of small arbs and win a few quid off them theyre gone. Theyre all a complete scam.

Can well believe it, bloody shocking. People exist who find that clever and a fair way to make a living though!

Give this lot a go - Blacktype.bet. Although I am unsure of them really given they have a bloody casino on their front page. You will find a few articles about them online with a search about how they plan to go back to proper bookmaking. I don't bet like I used to in all honesty, got weekends free now after 13 years in the game so more focused on enjoying them.
