Gillesphey mistake almost had them level.

Boom 3 points

Stuttered over the finish line but 3 more points and more evidence that this team is the real deal.

Good 0-45, poor 45-70, decent 70-94.

The formation change really helped us second half, we were totally getting overrun in midfield, Devitts introduction gave us a bit more control of game. Still some dodgy moments but we ourselves had chances to put the game away.

Have to say it was a game of 2 halfs and could have gone Pete Tong but for KCs subs again. Right personnel, right time .. .squeaky bum time at times but still thought we'd win ......these lads are on a mission alright. Was quite impressed with Yeovil and they had an impressive beaten once in 14 stat going into today's game .

Not sure about MoM going to J K mind ...Nicky Adams or even Brisley had a shout I'd say.

Didn't realise that Brisley was as good as he is, starting to look a good signing.

Some observations:

- been Brisley's biggest critic but thought he had a decent game today, not just the goal but some good defensive work. Must have just taken a while to settle in; I'll never doubt KC again!
- Gillesphey was terrible today, was already on the train back to Newcastle, being dropped for political reasons has obviously affected him and he shouldn't play for us again.
- Wyke is an awesome player, great goal scorer and never wastes a pass, hope to goodness we can keep hold of him in January.
- despite the rapturous reception that Ibehre always gets I remain unconvinced; I know he is coming back from an injury but the header he had would have been put away easily by Wyke.
- Lambe and Miller were poor today, we were getting beasted down that left hand side, just lucky we weren't made to pay for it. Joyce had a bit of a 'mare too, probably because of Jones's absence although thought Jason had a really good game.
- Gillespie had a decent game too, made an excellent save in the first half, and his kicking was much improved; decision-making still suspect at times but is definitely a quality keeper on his day.

Kennedy and Brisley the better performers today. I also thought Shaun Miller made some good runs as always and opened up a lot of space for teammates. We were lucky Yeovil didn't have much upfront as were pushing our luck in the second half and I'm sick of us conceding early on in halves. If Tom Eaves had started for them the result might have been different.

Two centre halfs solid games, both full backs poor, said it before Gillesphey is atrocious playing there. Gillespie had a poor game, started to watch him more and more and his lack of leadership and command of his area seems to affect his defence, another goal conceded in the 6 yard box with him rooted to his line. Kennedy and Joyce pretty good but two wide men were poor, Adams seemed to be playing with his head down a lot, Lambe doesn't get in the game enough for me but did track back a lot even if his tackling leaves a lot to be desired! Wyke had a decent game, good header, and Miller busy, really unlucky with a great effort which hit the bar. Should've been out of sight after an excellent first half but let them back into it after a crap start to the second, once a team starts to put a bit of pressure on we start to panic, if it wasn't for the two centre halfs we'd have fell apart. You won't see a worse goalie than Yeovil's, surprised he's still there after last year to be honest.

Did anyone in the Warwick get a better view of Jabo's deflected shot that was cleared off the line? I didn't think it went over the line but MerseysideBlue did...

It didn't even look over the line from the East Stand. Tell MB to get some glasses.

I was in the Paddock and thought it was in. Mind you, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

na, it was not a goal......although i did hope Devitt could have done better with his back heel to get the ball over the line
