Brisley has been a regular for a couple of months. No way in hell has he been released. As for releasing Ellis as well, that would leave us with one permanent CB.

When you say released, What do you mean?

Asamoah and Wright could be released at the end of short contracts, but the likes of Penn, Ellis, Brisley etc are all under contract. They'd have to have their contracts paid up to be 'released'.

In all honesty we don't know the situation behind the scenes, we are rumoured with Liddle and he is still under contract with Chesterfield so even players under contract could be unsettled and want away, McKee mentioned could be unsettled and wants away, Ellis isn't featuring so might have found a club who either will pay his full wage on loan or released and has a club lined up, we already knew Wright was off from that post the other day, Asamoah leaving would be no shock and good time of year for him to find another club as other clubs will lose players and a club like Barrow might fancy him till the end of the season, Brisley I can imagine hasn't impressed Keith much of late and I bet Curle ripped into him and Ellis at the weekend so again a possibility - as people are saying some names mentioned are a possibility and not impossible that they could leave.

Only way we'll be releasing players under contract is if it's in advance of another club taking their contract over, otherwise their wage still counts towards the salary cap.
