Gillespie 6 not much to do
Miller 7 very unlucky to be subbed
McQueen 4 lightweight, poor distribution
Liddle 6 grew into the game, good signing
Gillesphey 6 better than at full back
Kennedy 5 not in his game, tired
Joyce 6 kept going
Adams 5 not at his best, assist for the goal
Wyke 6 solid first half then good finish
Lambe 5 a few good moments. Better as impact sub?
Devitt 4 disappointing, poor use of the ball

Subs
Raynes 7 how did he not start!?
Miller 6 a few good touches and efforts
Asamaoh 5 should've scored

Curle 4 - poor defensive selection with only one of the back four having played in that position all season. Mistake bringing off Miller who had done well defensively and going forward.

2 points dropped but it's not the end of the world. Really missing Grainger and Jones

I'm glad Liddle is getting the ratings/praise he deserves afte Mullens crazy comments in the match thread.

He's such an intelligent passer I think he'd be even more effective sitting just in front of the back 4. Let Kennedy get forward like he was when Jones was in the team.

Gillespie 5 lucky not to concede the Penalty in the 2nd half ref didn't think so but was blatant foul

Miller 6
Liddle 7
Gillesphey 6 Looks a lot better at center half
McQueen -2 isn't fit to wear the shirt gets beaten by an 38 after spending all week training on stopping the crosses (KC said in Post Match Interview) this was his chance to show what he could do after finally getting a chance seamed scared to run forward and when he did couldn't cross the ball

Wyke 6

Raynes 7 wasn't fit to start but made the difference when came on
S Miller 7 looked lively can't understand why he doesn't start

Much more promising second half and we really should have clinched the win against 10 men. Even against 10 we looked vulnerable with a back 3 in the closing stages.
Gillespie 6 lucky not to concede a penalty but I enjoyed his challenge on Ellison
Miller 6 did ok out of position
McQueen 4 crossing was woeful
Liddle 7 didnt try to be too clever on debut and looks promising
Gillesphey 6 more comfortable at centre back than LB but in a back 4, not 3
Kennedy 6 always tries his best but looked jaded. Had to do the 90m as HT changes left us short of options
Joyce 7 industrious and had a good 2nd half
Adams 6 saw a lot of the ball but his crossing, goal apart, was not up to his usual high standard
Wyke 6 worked hard up front on his own
Lambe 6 faded towards the end and make wrong choices at times
Devitt 4 didnt really get into it

Subs
Raynes 7 made a big difference
Miller 7 did well when he came on and made a lot of good runs
Asamaoh 5 never really got going

The LB position has caused us a real problem and that should be top of the shopping list. I'd put Miller back at RB, play Raynes and Gillesphey in the middle. Given the different options we've tried at LB surely Ellis is worth a go? Put Liddle in his more accustomed position and start Shaun Miller next week.

Think it's really interesting how we all see things differently. Maybe it's where in the ground we watch from, maybe we have player's we like /don't like, or maybe were daft (mullens ratings are radge, must have been at a different game). However imo gillesphey had a decent game, as did Joyce & liddle considering he has only just arrived. Raynes & s miller did well when they came on. Adams for me was poor today, Wyke not great. As for mcqueen, t miller & especially devitt... Why? Thought maybe we could of done with jabo's physical presence up front today. And as has been said, Morecambe were very physical /dirty, credit to them for that. Also if the opposition players (whoever it is) threw themselves to the floor as much as our players did today, we would be up in arms. All that said, I'm really looking forward to Accrington nxt wk. I fancy we will get the promotion push back on track with a 1-3 win. UTB Be Just and Fear Not

Impressed with Liddle. Looks a solid signing. A bit too 'safe' at times, possibly not wanting to put a foot wrong on his debut, but opportunities to put the ball into the box and he slipped it wide to Devitt or inside to Joyce. Still, he was one of our better players for me. Well worthy of at least a 6 rating today.

Was Brisley just dropped - or is he injured? Even he might have looked half decent when compared to some of our performances today...

No mention of him post match that I heard !

Correction edit: Just read Curle's post match on OS.....he didn't want 3 centre backs on the bench so he chose Ellis who is more versatile and Raynes, even tho he'd been sick ....tells you something I'd say that.!

Gillespie 5 - not much to do, but looks shakey.
McQueen 4 - shocking for their goal, weak, pure judgement, dreadful delivery.
Miller 5 - not convinced with him at LB, got forward well a couple of times.
Gillesphey 5 - Not convincing at all. Exposed to often against ten men late on.
Liddle 6 - thought he started slowly, but grew in to it. Get him in MF please.
Lambe 5 - struggled throughout.
Kennedy 5 - didn't look himself. Would benefit from Liddle moving into MF.
Joyce 6 - distribution in the first half was poor, improved a bit in the second half. Always made himself available. Not at his best for me, but tireless.
Adams 6 - delivery wasn't it's usual quality, but always looking to make something happen. Misses Grainger, their partnership has been huge for us on the left.
Devitt 5 - not happening for him. Seemed to grow a little with the introduction of Miller, but not enough.
Wyke 6 - isolated in the first half, should still have scored that chance. Want to see him and Miller get a run of games together.

Subs:

Raynes 6 - need him fully fit, pronto
Miller 7 - thought he looked lively, and likely to make something happen. His movement gives us something we lack. Would like to see him partner Wyke up front.
Asamoah 5 - sorry deggsy, but just not in it.

Every player yesterday seemed to pick the safe option, apart from S.miller when he came on and that made a massive difference. Adams also played the ball either forward or into the box shame he had an off game though as evey cross seemed to either hit the first man or be far too long. That was the other side aswell. Had we got better crosses in the box yesterday we would of walked the game, Curles selection was strange but he had to try something different at the back as we got hammered the last two games had it come off we would of all labelled him a genius but hey ho on to accy utb!

Agree that Adams had an off day but there was still plenty of decent balls into the box yesterday to have won the game. He put in a couple of great crosses first half, one of which Kennedy won at the back post and the keeper made two great saves from. Also 3 or 4 crosses from various players went straight across the 6 yard box with the goal gaping but just nobody there to put them in, sometimes you're looking for one of your forwards to take a gamble.

One criticism of Adams, probably the only one, is that unless he gets his cross in early and the full back closes him down he rarely beats his man and often ends up losing the ball.

Agreed on Sean Miller, he looked very good today when he came on.
Was impressed with Liddle and pleased to see Raynes back.

Not convinced by McQueen. He has apparently got a lot of pace but I dont see him use it, never runs outside or tries to take anyone on. Then was outstripped by a 38 year old for their goal.

Strange one really, though nobody a really bad game, but then again nobody was outstanding, look like we've signed a really decent player in Liddle.
Thought the team selection and tactics were poor today.

Gillespie 6 - Not a great deal to do, although should have had a penalty against him
Mc Queen 5 - Not as bad as some people are trying to make out
Miller 6 - Did OK at left back considering its not his position (personally I'd like to see Patrick Brough back)
Gillesphy 6 - Looked more assured at center back, however took an age to settle
Liddle 7 - Very, very promising, although I would like to see him as a defensive midfielder, good distribution and awareness.
Lambe 5 - Did Ok but don't think the system helped him
Kennedy 5 - One of his quieter games, second half especially seemed to pass him by.
Joyce 6.5 - Didn't think he was man of the match, however was his usual industrious self.
Adams 6 slightly quieter than normal, though his free kicks were well below Graingers standards.
Devitt 5 - (See Mc Queens ratings)
Wyke 6.5 Ploughed away all afternoon, found it difficult playing up front on his own, excellent header for equalizer.

Subs Raynes - 6.5 Miller - 6.5 Asomoah - 5

Curle 4 - Not sure why he needed to make the drastic changes he did, first half they looked like they had only just met each other that morning.

From what I've seen he definitely benefits from his interchanging with Grainger, both whom are capable of whipping a decent cross in.

We are missing Grainger for free kicks as well ...there were some yesterday just perfect for his range ...Adams not a patch on DG ..noticed he wouldn't let Gillesphey have a pop when he's had a goal from a fk in the past!

Probably after he let him have a pop at Crewe the other week. Think it took about 5 minutes to reach the keeper it was that powder puff.

I think McQueen is destined to split opinion like that guy Taylor when we were in the League I promotion season-I convinced myself at the time that he had been inserted to ensure we missed promotion but others liked him.You wanted to believe he was amazing but he wasn't.

With McQueen,he looks like he has the pace of a greyhound but scared to use it-maybe just lacking in confidence
