Surely the extra time goal gives him an unfair goals per match ratio, it should be normalised to a goals per minute ratio. *adjusts nhs glasses*

Billy Paynters played 175 mins this season scoring 2 goals so thats a goal every 87 mins and 30 secs

Ibehre's played 145 mins scoring 3 goals equalling a goal every 48.33 mins

I couldn't give a f*** what Paynter does for Hartlepool (apart from when we play them), all I know is that Paynter was absolutely shite for us and in 1 and a half games Ibehre already has a better CUFC career than Paynter did.

You may have used the M25 to get there but Colchester is roughly the same position north as Luton or Stevenage, i.e. quite clearly north (east) of the M25.

A quick look at his stats shows 57.2% of his league goals have been scored for clubs that are geographically north of the M25.

However I have not looked into where these goals were scored which could also be statistically significant. Perhaps someone who doesn't have to go to work today could look into that one.

Someone could also look through the goalscoring record of all our offensive players throughout their careers and cross reference these against longitude and latitude. This data could then itself be referenced against Curle's team selections, it could be the answer to the tinkerman's logic...

Thank f*ck Ibehre's scored more goals than Paynter so far or else I think this board would well and truly go into meltdown. Definitely got ourselves a much better player in Ibehre than the useless oaf Paynter, don't care how any he scores/assists this season because he was for the most part horrendous for us.

Absolutely fantastic player who's scored all types of goals for us (so far).... If he keeps this up he'll be a truly inspirational signing! Given the amount of negativity about him before he signed this just proves stats mean sh*te all! Class act, real leader and what a pain in the arse.... For opposition!

I know hes a bit bigger but could there be a resemblance to Karl Hawley. He held the ball up well for a shortish fella and could finish with both feet and his head. Was at Torquay when he did just that one left one right and a header.

We need to be extending his contract for next season imo. Double his money if need be, goalscorers are worth it.

I know he's 32 but he won't slow down, he's too athletic and in good shape physically.
