Huge turnout on the cards...

"There is going to be a poor turnout of chairmen for the Football League's annual summer shindig in Portugal this week.

But the 25 who are going include the Football League's nemesis, Derby owner Mel Morris, who believes the FL can get more money for their TV rights by following his approach."

Disgraceful how the English FL have an annual summer meeting in Portugal. Why Portugal FFS? All expenses paid no doubt.

Did they not used to be based in Lytham? Surely that would be more than suitable.

It would also be probably cheaper if they all stopped there as well. ;-)

Perhaps Nixon goes every year to Portugal because people keep asking him if he likes sex and travel?

If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Apparently this year less than a third of the Lge 1 and Lge 2 clubs owners/CEO/Chief Excecs attended and a motion was put forward to discuss reverting to a weekend conference in this country from 2019 [ already committed to Portugal for next year already apparently. ]

"The difference is the club belongs to the town and its fans. When I'm done here it.ll be better than when I came in and it.ll still belong to the town and its fans" Andy Holt. May 2017

I'm not keen on the idea of 11.30am kick offs. As ever the idea will be to accommodate tv games but we all know if it happens to one of our games it will be Exeter or Newport away.
