If there's no takeover in the offing, EWM may as well be our "back of shorts" sponsor - sponsoring over the cracks.

The shirt sponsorship ticket amount has been also put into the club alongside the 'agreement'. It is additional to that facility.

Not really clued-up on business knowledge, but the way I see this is, if there is no takeover and it is indeed just a loan and we are paying through a shit load of sponsorship. Is that not the end of potential sponsorship funds for the next however many years we're tied to this? If so in a year we will be proper up the creek as we'll have less income coming in.

That clears that up, cheers! Now the other part if there was a positive new takeover on the horizon I reckon, Jabo excluded the players turning down contracts would have signed. Either that or they were offered reduced more performance based terms?

Not looking good for a takeover in my eyes. Maybe PD doesn't actually want to takeover, in which case it's just a glorified loan which supports the current regime and helps them stay in charge. Biggest clue for me is if anything was going to happen, quality players would be coming in. Looking like more of the same next year. For Carlisle to really progress the BOD need to do one.

They have talked about putting in a succession plan, if the EWM investment is the first stage all well and good. If it is only a loan to the present owners and nothing more then the club is FCUKd. With no future.

Once and for all its not the first stage of anything

Its not a loan

Its a flexible credit facility just think of it as an overdraft for which theyve put up the crown jewels as security.

I think it's a very shrewd move by Mr Day! as I think the present BOD are wanting top dollar for their £1 investment to leave and are probably sitting thinking the Golden Goose has landed!! I also don't believe Jenkins should be repaid his loans as facts, figures and statistics show what we have in place is failing since the 3 idiots were appointed in 2008 the whole club is a mess!! if it was ran as a success you wouldn't begrudge anyone who has invested taking back their return, if we have a bad start to this season and crowds drop their will come a time I hope that the present BOD will be pushed out the more EWM get involved the power shifts till the day comes and they are forced out.

We live in hope!!!!

I don't think a flexible credit facility is a legitimate explanation-in my experience, you put money in and never see it again. This was firesale money and it gives PD a huge whip.

The fun will come when they exhaust this line of credit.

Even if any individual/ fan had put in £1m ten years ago and get no money back when the club needs to be sold, who cares? If it was me, 100k a year is a pretty good deal to be able to run the club I love. A pretty chap hobby for a rich man over a decade I'd say.
If I was rich and inn AJs shoes, I'd be chuffed just to be in a position to help the club and that's the line he should be taking. People would be far less cynical and angry if they thought his ony motive was to help the club he loves.
The custodians have overseen a huge decline since 2008. Fair enough we have had some highs since KC arrived but 90% lows since then.

Sounds like Nixon is off anyways according to some off here so you will probably get your wish in the end Barry.

Oh i know i.ll get my way in the end 10 years from now there wont be a Lge 1 or Lge 2 club that wont be owned by its fans

Its now pretty clear that how long it takes at CUFC is entirely dependant on how long it takes Jenkins to pop his clogs as the man is so stubborn and thick to have seen that he could of made his name as the man who gave the club to its fans rather than the man who clung on so long he took it into oblivion.

No real interest on the bands thing as they dont interest me much more into genres than individual artists.
