Given 2 days longer than Gillespie. KC bottled doing this for Gillespie.

Well at least that's that, there'll be no repeat of last summer when Tom Miller and Alex McQueen messed us around until after preseason had started

Should never have been offered a contract in the 1st place.....especially after his red card against the home fixture with Cambridge.

Bailey was lucky to be offered a contract, he got marginally better as the season went on but wasn't amazing.

Any player who dithers that long on a offer can get stuffed anyhow.

Kennedy must have wanted to stay as he laid his cards down on the table early.

Happy that we kept the best player who was out of contract.

Once again players have to be given a period of time before contracts can be withdrawn, that period must now be over so that's why we could withdraw the deal.

Sounds like the current round of Basic + Incentive Payment schemes are not anywhere close to being on a par with those offered this time last year now that the Bank of Jenkins has its shutters down following the payouts that were made before the wheels came off.

If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Fair enough but point i am making is there is no chance he would have taken Gillespie's deal off the table.

I think a lot of people are chronically underestimating his tan. Other than that I was flabbergasted to believe he had played a couple of seasons as a regular 2 divisions above us. I imagine he was offered £25k a year and thinks he can do better. If he can, good luck James and hope it goes well lad.

This suggests to me that they are confident of landing a target very soon and don't want to risk Bailey signing and being surplus to requirements. Not exactly a shortage in that area compared to no keepers and one striker.

Either that or KC offered him a crap deal and wasn't really arsed if he signed or not.

This has made me very happy.
He came here after having nothing else to go at and desperate to earn a deal whilst not messing up his hairdo.
We paid his wages whilst he was totally anonymous in games, with a notable exception for throwing a blatant right hook at an opposing player whilst not messing up his hairdo. The opposing player was prone on the ground) Takes a lot of courage that.
I was at Plymouth In March on the day he played and managed to avoid getting his shorts dirty all game whilst not messing up his hairdo.
The fact that he even took time to weigh up an offer, after contributing absolutely f*ck all says everything.
Good riddance.Waste of space while he was here - and a wage.
Good hairdo though.

Pleased to see him, his hair, lack of commitment, questionable ability and clean shorts gone. If the tale about Kelvin Etuhu (on another thread) is correct he`s potentially a good replacement.

Its the one thing that struck me most about him.
In all the minutes he "played" he never once had a hair out of place. That just shows the lack of effort he put in.
Maybe I'm just jealous though, as it's a long time since I had to worry about messing my hair up - I'm bald as a coot.

I dunno about lack of effort. I thought he was unfit when he first arrived but improved as the season went on. For me he was better than Joyce in both the Exeter games.

I do think he would have been better next season with a full preseason behind him, but I'm not bothered that he's not coming back, we're fine in that position with Kennedy, Liddle, Joyce and Jones.

the only cast off they have of ours, apart from Bailey, is Zoko.......Berrett went to Grimsby via York city, Mark Beck went to Darlington via a loan to Wrexham.
