Not me but I agree with the sentiments.

It was Ali Ross, I believe. She'd put on Twitter yesterday she was going to be speaking with 5 Live.

Is it just me that thinks 'celebrating the one goal as if it was the winner' makes us look incredibly small time?

We've just been hammered away from home, we're sliding towards the bottom of the league (again) - yet the fans are treating them like heroes and shaking hands with the players after a consolation goal in a hiding.

Absolutely mental - and music to AJ and JN's ears.

I think there will always a divide between those who feel praise and support is the way to motivate and those who prefer to vent their frustrations, I've always been in the camp that believes a support should support through thick and thin while the game goes on, although more than happy to moan afterwards, I don't think celebrating our own team scoring can ever be small time but fully appreciate others see things differently, I do hope the goal was a milestone for the scorer in this case and well worth celebrating.

The players came and shook hands with the fans after the match had finished, not after the goal. I think they genuinely wanted to thank the fans for making the effort and wanted to let them know that it was appreciated. Not something I have seen before between our players and fans and I felt it a spontaneous show of respect from the players, nothing small time,

Well you just wallow in your misery about it then, sensible folk will look at it and think we dominated them for large parts of the game and bar 3 individual errors we would have had a better result.

It isn't about being happy clappy either but being honest with your comments, not just you either btw but some of the stuff written on here in the last 12 hours is ridiculously over the top.

Then we have the folk who are now moaning about us passing it out from the back but they moaned about the "lump ball" last season, there is a reason teams in our division play lump ball and that is evidenced by our defenders passing skills or the decisions of when to pass or smash it long.

If it wasn't for the Horseman we wouldn't be in this sh*t hoofball division.

That made me laugh out loud. The thought of the players shaking everyone's hand after we'd scored.

Ali Ross i'm sure is a nice person and I have nothing at all against her personally.

But by god don't let her anyway near a microphone especially a national radio station. She's embarrassing the stuff she comes out with deary me.

Ah, so it isn't that the fans celebrated the goal at 4-0 down, it's the fact that Ali said the fans celebrated like it was a winner, when you feel she should have said the fans celebrated really loudly or some other form of words?

I wouldn't of cheered last night in any form some people are like that and others aren't.

Let's hope it doesn't get to the point where people start cheering like it's a winner when we get a corner.

Nice for the lad who scored to be met with stony silence, regardless of the match score.

After taking a huge trip down there on a tuesday night I guess they were ready to cheer something to make it feel worthwhile.

Another analogy could be playing your mates down at AMF bowling and you play like shite but end the night with a Turkey (3 strikes) but still come last, do you not feel a little pleased that you finally done something worth smiling about ?

Must admit, in the past when Phillips has got ali Ross on bbcrc after an away game I've cringed at 99% of the stuff she says. Just like I've cringed time and time again listening to the interview on 5 live. Also because they took the mick at our fans travelling for a 4-1 battering
