What does grate me is the life of somebody like that doesn't appear to be worth the same as say British/American lives in a lot of people's eyes.

Unfortunately some see our benefits system as a money tree to be given a shake by whoever, whenever, rather than the safety net it should be. Was in Munich Hospital 2 weeks ago for 5 nights and a Nigerian bloke was in my ward, 48 year old from Lagos, Nigeria. Had lived in Tripoli, Libya working fitting air conditioning for around 15 years till Jan 2014 when he fled during the Gadaffi War, in 2011 he had been shot in crossfire - he wasn't fighting on either side just caught up in it. Had a serious gunshot wound which hadn't been properly attended to and said it had bothered him ever since. Said a fair few of his pals had died in various incidents in Tripoli. From Jan 2014 to July 2015 he was in a refugee camp in Brescia, Italy - said they got housed and then got 18 euros a week to live off, reckoned the Italians should have been giving them more due to the UN giving them far more money or something that was being dished out. Anyway, he got fed up with waiting in pain with his leg so headed to Munich on Saturday August 1st and came in on the train from Verona (some papers would love footage of that train as the passengers come off as it ain't a load of rich Italians arriving to drink in the Hofbrauhaus and watch Bayern play). Then got taken to a Refugee Camp and got granted asylum on the Monday, on the Tuesday he went to the Hospital and when I left he had been given MRI scans and they were hoping to operate on him the following week. All he said he wanted was to get a job again and a home and would go anywhere that allowed him to do it, he was a decent bloke - always laughing etc but really disliked muslims (never heard him swear or wish ill on them but would just say these people are just full of hate).

I don't know much about all this immigration but during my time in Munich I have seen more and more Eastern European gangs appearing, be 20 - 30 of them spread across a variety of ages hanging around. These are the ones I don't want near England.

No easy answers

You see women with babies literally under 3 month old at times sat begging by the main station at times like. Went one stop on from Stuttgart central station other week and it were like a ghetto, lot of immigrants in Germany - some good and some bad.

All in all a sad situation.

Get immigration laws like Australia. Job sorted. The EU won't like that, but personally I would rather not be in the EU

The terminal flaws in the EU are now starting to appear for all to see, it was inevitable. The disastrous Euro and the colonisation of Greece, now this migration crisis. It will stagger from disaster to disaster until the end.

In my line of work and I won't go too deep into this i'll say one thing.... It still to this day amazes me that.... People from abroad enter this country barely able to speak English yet know all about benefit system!

I see this every day and whilst I think it's tragic people endure the life they do and then the dangers they face to find a safe haven as stated above we cannot care for the worlds population.....

Fact is demand in this country far outweighs what we have.... Money homes jobs etc etc etc.... Sad times!

The word immigrant is used to much in a negative way. If anyone genuinely is seeking a better life we should welcome them. We are all humans it's very sad.

Probably summat to do with old dickie Cameron paying them more money in benefits than anywhere else. I could understand if we were a land border with their home countries but we aren't. In all seriousness though, I was in Kos, Greece earlier this year and the number of migrants coming over from Syria (via nearby Turkey) was unreal. Desperate desperate people, the police simply couldn't deal with the volume. sad situation. It was their route into Europe, the police would move them on to Athens to be 'processed' and they'd disappear off into mainland Europe.

Your 10 years to late worrying about this, damage is done, not only do we have our own trash, we also have the rest of the worlds!

some people seem to think we should open the gates to every man woman and child, but bearing in mind some further up believe that immigrants don't get benefits (they will still need housing, feeding, healthcare, etc), i'd ask them this, WHO is going to PAY? and what effect will this have on the standard of welfare , healthcare everyone else receives?

I'm not say ing there aren't deserving case regarding assylum but, there is now a bandwagon that people are being encouraged/paying to join. It has to stop.

I'm an immigrant in Norway, but i have learned to speak Norwegian and I have a job.
The job situation here is on a low at the moment and all companies are writing in their job ads that you must be fluent in Norwegian both speaking and writing.
Some companies also say you must have passed the Bergans test(reading and writing) lots of Norwegians would struggle with that.

I like to think that i bring more into Norway than I take out, i'm a foster parent and im on the commitee of the local football team giving up my free time.
