yeah on Raynes, I`ve said my jury`s out, but thought he was better today ( and so must the MoTM judge eh!)
Think Hery has to play but as much as Dicker has class he slows things up, which may be what we want at times but am thinking Balanta as the other side half back to Hery is more dynamic as played v Chesterfield. However it didn`t seem like he had a great night on Tuesday v Plymouth............maybe the pace is getting to him.
Unlike others who have criticsed I like Mc Queen, he gets in among it down the right and isn`t afraid to take people on. It might not always work but he doesn`t give up.

Brough looks this season like Symington did last. Not good enough to be either a left back or a left midfielder at this level on the form hes shown so far. This thread certainly shows how opinions differ though. I thought Raynes played quite well.

Just to put a few things straight for those not there.

We played 3 at the back with grainiger, Raines and TAH. We started with Miller RWB and Kennedy LWB but to be fair, they operated as wide midfielders and generally let the back 3 defend. In the second half, brough came on, Kennedy when to CM and Dicker came off.

Whilst 1-1 was a disappointing result, we played some great football and for once looked a genuine threat from set pieces which is how we equalised after Jabbo won a free kick, Grainger delivered a good free kick into the box which fell to Jabbo on the edge of the of the box ish and drove home.

No need to to negative, playing some attractive football, I've seen more in fact during the first 2 home games than during the last 2 years.
If he is going to stick with 3at the back, we need another central defender, a LWB who can defend as well as attack and we will be fine.

Thought Troy and Raynes organised well at the back. Someone thought Raines was at fault for W's goal, to me it was Joyce who gave the lad loads of space and time to pick out a ball into the centre. Everyone sees it different

I don't tend to slate young player's but what we're them crosses from Brough?

Miller seemed to have a free role going up and down the right hand channel for most of the first half. Whatever formation we played or are playing the ball is being moved about too slowly and with not enough pace. It's pedestrian. I thought it was two L2 mid-table looking sides. I honestly couldn't pick a MOM for us out although overall including both sides I'd go for Karleigh Osborne their big CB who neutralised Jabo's threat in the air and was a commanding presence throughout. Jabo still got his goal though, good job as I don't know who else we've got who is going to score regularly. If he gets injured we're fkd.

I like to reserve judgement for about ten games usually on individual players but I have not been impressed with Miller or Raynes so far and I'm hoping that there is more to come once they get into their stride although I don't think Raynes is suited to the middle CB in a three as he's not that good on the ball and not that strong in the air. Good enough to be MOM though apparently.

It was better today but still pretty average to be honest . Wimbledon were well organised and hard working, if unspectacular. Elliot was a real handful up front and probably should have put them 2-0 ahead. They ran out of steam in the last 25 mins or I think they would have beaten us.

We looked more solid with some actual defenders in the team. Miller was much more comfortable at Rwb and Troy was excellent in the back three, which clearly helped Raynes to have a much better game. Wierd decision to play Kennedy at Left wing back... But I'm going to disagree with earlier posters... I thought he did pretty well there. He tracked back well and looked solid defensively, and he nearly scored twice....

It was going well enough until the tinker man struck again, moving Kennedy to the centre and putting Hery at left wing back. Stupid move as Hery clearly isn't interested in the defensive work... Right on Queue he went missing on the left, didn't track back, leaving Grainger outnumbered...cross comes in and goal... Why does he have to tinker with things?

I thought Wimbledon were easily the better team until we scored against the run of play. Once again Jabo digs us out of a hole. After the goal the Wombles started to panic and we played some decent stuff and started to dominate.

1-1 is actually a decent result and but for a couple of great saves from Gillespie we could easily have lost this game.

Overall happy with a point from a pretty average performance... We looked tighter at the back, which is good to see. I'm still not convinced about the formation...but it doesn't look like he will abandon it any time soon. Stupid decision to switch Kennedy and Hery for 15 mins nearly cost us the game. Overall we looked a bit better, but we are not a good team. New signings required to finish top half I think.

Finally we get a decent target man and then we haven't got a winger.
Defence is still very poor .
I thought joyce would be doing a lot better hopefully picks up.

I'm glad Asamoah is running the channels because he hasn't scored for 9 months.

Thought it was a very mediocre performance. For me the midfield is a massive problem and has been for years, not enough players who move and create space for a pass so it leaves us with no choice but to boot it long. Defensively aswell we always seem to be outnumbered even playing 3 in the middle and the 'wing backs' need to not play like they're wingers. Was one case where they had a throw in 25 yards out and Miller was stood on the half way line! KC talked about him able to play people in their correct positions yet he plays an out and out centre midfielder at left wing back, unbelievable! Positives to take out of it were Troy looked very comfortable for his first game of the season and we look a threat off set pieces. Improvements are needed if we're going to have a half decent season but a lot of it looks easily solvable, just depends if Curle sees it the same way.

Personally think we shouldn't be playing two 'defensive midfielders' at home in Joyce & Dicker. It should be one or the other with two in front out of Hery Kennedy or Balanta

Play with wingbacks, I would go for Miller on the right and Mqueen on the left.Both can bomb forward and get balls into the box, but can also defend.
