Why is everyone putting an apostrophe in Raynes?

Often think Raynes starts matches on a -1 or -2 rating for these types of threads. I don't know why really.

He's no where near as bad as some people make out, but he needs the 2 either side of him to be a bit closer than they have been. They were at QPR on Tuesday, I wasn't there today but it sounded like he had an ok game, at least no worse than Troy.

to be honest they were all distinctly average in the 1 st half, with Joyce the least effective. Asamoah was very good when he came on - but he should have got the 4 th.

Gillespie 7 - good save in the first half, commanded his area well in the second half.

Grainger 7 - one or two crosses were over hit, but thought he done well today, good balls in the box late on. Gave as good as he got with paynter

Miller 8 - brilliant goal, solid game done the dirty work as well. Looks a great prospect.

Raynes 7 - best performance in a blues shirt for me, apart from one dodgy backwards header looked like a decent cb today

TAH 7 - made a few good challenges, did look in trouble when their number 9 ran at him early on but thought he kept them quiet for large periods along with raynes.

McQueen 6 - was ineffective today I thought, didn't do much wrong however.

Joyce 6 - thought he got better as the game went on won a few ariel battles in the second half which pushed us up a little bit

Hery 8 - impressed me today with his footwork and neat turns to get us on the front foot. Think there is a lot more to come from him and looks like our most creative player

Kennedy 6 - usual high work rate, kept the ball moving. Missed a chance in the first half in a scramble

Rigg 6 - at times looked off the pace but got the ball down well and laid it off on a couple of occasions

Jabo 10 - although he missed a few chances he got the two goals won us the match. Can't ask for more than that, seems to really appreciate the fans support and thrives off it.

Asamoah 7 - would of been an 8 had he not missed the chance to wrap the game up. Thought he changed the game when he came on with his directness and pace.

Thompson 7 - made some good runs down the wing and help his position well, solid sub appearance.

Great day all round, best away game I've been to in awhile fans were different class! Feared the worst when they went ahead but we gritted our teeth and got the 3 points. Number 9 ( bingham I think ) looked a real handful .

Agree almost entirely with Waterworks scores and comments. However I would reduce Hery’s mark by one point because while he’s tricky he did not set up any of the goals and has the learn when to turn on the trickery. Not in our final third.

The back three have a hard job as the wing backs often both play high up the pitch which leaves gaps in our defensive areas which can be exploited. Having said that all 3 defenders did well considering and both Miller and Raynes look decent signings.

I still would still have Dicker in the team. In my opinion our most astute passing player which he showed again when he came on. He and Asamoah both improved the team when they came on.

A few Hartlepool fans on their boards have been singling out Hery as our best player from their point of view. He was rated "shit hot" by one of them.

Gillespie - 7
McQueen - 7
Miller - 9 MOM Brilliant today
Raynes - 7
Troy - 6
Grainger - 7
Joyce - 7
Kennedy - 6
Hery - 7
Rigg - 6
Jabo - 9

In all honesty performance was okay but thought the passion was there today, the players wanted it more than theirs simple as that. You could see that at the end. First away game of the season thought majority of fans were excellent. Loved it at the end with the players coming over and appreciating the fans again really showed their passion and spirit!

Did you think he was Heilkmoon?
I didn’t, but that’s just my opinion. He had a very decent game but Jabo. Miller and Grainger (I’ll wait for the boos) contributed more to our win.

Hery's style attracts attention and it is a pleasure to watch his footballing skills. In common with other new players, a good signing.

Seems a bit rough on him to deduct a point because he did not set up any of the goals.

Hery gave Miller the ball who then curled it into the top corner so if that doesn't go down as an assist then I don't know what does.

Hery - 8 Impressed with the way he drove through the midfield, the way he done so giving it wide to kennedy for the first.
Ibehre - 9 he done alright i guess
Rigg - 5 seems to be trying to much when he just needs a flick on or a quick lay off
Asamoah - 9 i could have scored that, he gets a 9 because i just had a quick flashback to qpr!
Couldnt be jeered doing them all
