TOPIC: Our fans today

I don't mind banter and everyone was excited - but the guy in green sat just in front of me didn't do himself any favours by continually making signs and shouting abuse at someone in their family enclosure. I don't think the man in green noticed but I suspect the police took a large number of photos of him carrying on.

Apart from that an enjoyable lot of noise in the second half after all the negativity in the first.

the young uns were working themselves today like , i saw on the pitch 5 fans 6 seats an inflatable banana ,a policemans hat and also an inflatable penis

Not Mark. Guy probably late 30s and fairly thin.

In the toilets i seen a guy maybe 40 and bald push an older fella in the toilets about something not too sure what about though but the old guy seemed quite uncomfortable and a few of our guys were having a go at the guy who was annoying the older fan...

20 odd Carlisle 'fans' kicked out today

Our fans are generally superb but there is a small collection of pimpled plebs who just don't seem to get how to support the team.
They seem to turn up at Hartlepool year after year.
It is strange as they are not tough or hard and certainly nothing like the gangs that roamed the terraces many years ago . In fact I'd say they are even more odious . Their language is terrible and they are ignorant towards others. They don't know how to behave and are too thick to understand the consequences of their actions.
On top of this we have a few thick older ones who show an equally bad example and the younger chavs actually look up to them!

Great result and most fans were excellent as ever. Spoiled by the few.

On a different point though we do have quite a diverse fanbase i found some parts of today quite humorous but some were a little far but its a football match so what do you expect. After the game a couple maybe 8 year old hartlepool fans-the type of kids in joggers and jumpers-came into our end and started calling our fans and players shit and came up to me and said "what are you clapping?"
Simple answer-the team that won, but then him and his mate were trying to start on us so i just laughed and walked away...some kid fans these days are a bit much for kids dint you think?

Was the away end sold out today? Could you pay on the day in the away end?

Funny world today like with all this technology, at full time folk used to rush to the pub or to the car to get away - now even some Chairman (nevermind players) are rushing to get on twitter. No wonder they are introducing life coaches and stuff for social media use.

A photo will probably emerge of the bloke with the trilby and he will be public enemy number 1 in Hartlepool.

True wazza, we obviously had a few thrown out today, but their fans throwing water / drink on the ones getting chucked out probably didn't help. Don't recall seeing anyone in a trilby

I saw the best and worst of Carlisle fans today.

BEST Fantastic support from most of the crowd, wonderful noise, great to be part of it.

WORST Some total idiots at the side furthest from the dugouts. To those idiots I would ask. Why do you feel it's ok to show such a total lack of respect to fellow Carlisle fans? There were some of our fans who didnt see any goals because idiots insisted on standing up in front of them, they would have willingly swapped seats so those who wanted to stand were behind them but their response was we were here first. Utter morons!

In some cases thought it was just pure thoughtlessness, thee was one parent with a smallish kid who couldn't see and was very fed up at half time. I was taking pics caught the yeye of the lads who were in front, asked if they could swap seats to let the dad and kid infront. they were more than happy to, it just needed some one to ask,

I think the Hartlepool stewards were a bit overwhelmed but yet again AND WORST OF ALL it begs the question WHERE THE HELL WAS THE CARLISLE UNITED SLO/FLO!! There were a few idiots that should have been left for the police to deal with but there were a lot of the time where some one in a jacket with FANS LIAISON OFFICER on the back could have made the experience a whole load better for our fans. Absolutely no reflection on the man that has the job, who I know works hard for the club. The terrible reflection is on the club itself, who has taken money to fill a job looking after fans and yet doesn't., disgusting.

Probably more to do with how the club sees the fans - mild irritants that are somehow necessary but can be treated like total s_t all the time (did anyone mention billionaire...)

As much as I was disgusted by the minority of fans behaviour shown yesterday, I can't help but feel that the Hartlepool plod were very ott in their handling of it all.

I was in a group of 4 fans, 2 others around my age (mid 20's and their 50 year old father)

When we got to the ground we wanted to walk to morrisons to get food and drinks. However we got corralled into a police escort down into the town centre and herded into a pub. Although we all asked to leave as we wanted food and soft drinks (I normally enjoy a pre match beer) my companions wanted food. We weren't allowed to leave the pub until escorted back for kick off

Was talking to someone at half time and was standing near a bin just past the cut off point where you could drink alcohol. bloke comes holding a few plastic glasses including one with a bit of beer in. Steward says you cant go past the yellow line. Guy says im putting them in the bin. Steward says your not passing that line with em. Bloke says but thats where the bin is. Steward says your still not passing it so bloke puts emptys on floor and walks in stand. Talk about causing a confrontation where there wasnt one. It was obvious what the bloke was trying to do, at worst steward could have taken them off him and put them in bin as it was only a few feet away. About half a dozen coppers were stood next to it as well. No common sense at all shown.

In my experience the FLO is a waste of time. The fact most fans don't even know who he is confirms this.

Their does seem to be quite a few village idiots make it over the a66 each year but most clubs have them I guess. We have a few as well though I haven't seen seats ripped out for a while, well not since cardiff anyway many a year ago. Not sure what that was all about like. What I will say Is it will be about the only time we will have any decent numbers of away fans in the ground all season apart from probobly York and I love the banter and atmosphere of these types of games. Bit like the olden days. Just one or two go a little bit over the top.
