As we are paying half his wages will he be deducted money for of ripping off Grainger's shirt today, Silly man!!

Why would we be paying half of his wages?

Because he is a half hearted player?

Ran over and celebrated in front of curle, had a feeling it would have happened however the chant "fat scouse [censored]" was all i could remember today about him..

Sure I saw mentioned on here not long ago by someone that we were still paying half his wage.

Pools fan I spoke to a while back suggested that they were actually stupid enough to buy out his contract! No chance we'll be paying half his wage though.

If his contract got terminated by mutual agreement, then surely even after he was listed by kc then kc wouldn't have sanctioned any of the budget to pay paynters wage while he's no longer with us. That's what I believe anyway

How did kc react to the goading from paynter and the Hartlepool lot?
He certainly had the last laugh.

His post match comment on the issue was very good.

I'm sorry but I disagree with most of above...he had every right to celebrate his goal in front of KC he felt hard done by and they didn't get on if you believe half of what's been written on here was made to train with kids ect...

Have seen plenty of players celebrate in front of dugouts but once again people go ott about nowt the lad scored and celebrated in front of a manager that thought he was crap big deal

It also pisses me off when ex players don't celebrate a goal out off some pretend respect bollox..

His celebration told me that he's the kind of guy who would rather score and lose the game, than not score and win. It was all about him. Celebrate with your fans/team mates, our lads did, and you can really see that our team spirit is the best its been in years.

Paynter's actions just show he lacks a lot of class; he can celebrate scoring anyway he sees fit. He obviously feels he has a point to prove to KC but on all accounts he did very little else all game to prove he's a good player and his history kind of speaks for itself really. I think what he said in the press and how he and Ronnie Moore we're trying to hype this game up it ways always guaranteed to back fire.

If you have a point to prove, get your head down and go about it quietly and consistently and you tend to get your reward in one way or another.

Regardless how often that happens in football, I certainly don't think KC would have done that. Considering he's been so vocal about giving players contracts that only reward them with big bucks if they earn it (incentivising all players).

Fair play to KC for standing calm and letting the football do the talking.
