historically been some issues. One of the most notorious incidents of crowd trouble came in 2000 during Hartlepool’s play-off match against Darlington. In this match Darlington manager Dave Hodgson was struck with a coin and Marco Gabbiadini was reportedly punched by a fan after the match [6]. There have also been some Health and Safety issues regarding fans refusing to sit in the seating areas. This has forced the club to employ strict ground regulations [7].

Bizarre! So half of our fans at the game (400 or so) are a disgrace because one idiot spat (disgusting behaviour- agreed) at one of there players who was down injured.
Seats being torn out, did this happen? If so, how many? the culprits should be identifiable if police cameras have been used correctly, banning order deserved. Me thinks most of this is just sour grapes and bitterness 'cos they got beat.

What an absolute moron, obviously still upset at seeing his team get beat. Should really get his facts correct before mouthing off.

However, if seats were ripped out and a player spat on by CUFC fans then they are bigger Morons than this guy.

There was seats damaged, I seen 1 a few seats down from me snapped. The spitter rightfully should be banned. But out of interest did anyone else apart from me see when coppers took fans out past the end of Hartlepool stand, liquid of some description (hopefully beer/water not urine) being hurled down on the 'fans'

I've already reminded the Hartlepool owner and should probably do the same to this guy as well, of the moment at BP last year when we went 3 up and an HUFC fan came right up to the segregation, dropped his pants, bent over and spread his arse cheeks in front of hundreds of onlooking kids. Some of the most disrespectful fans around this lot and always have been.

Obviously a very well educated chap you were talking to Chopper. Fairly typical of his type I think. This is obviously nothing much more than sour grapes. If there is anything needs sorted, then the football authorities or police can, surely, be left to sort it.

They threw the liquid more than once at people being thrown out, spitting is out of order. But it wasn't all one sided the fact they escorted them out past the fans who threw whatever and ran down goading them didn't help.

It was also 7/8 of Hartlepool fans that rushed to the front trying to get across. A lot of their seats were damaged / hanging off so maybe it done them a favour!

I think Hiroshima bomb would do Hartlepool a favour to be honest

So, did the 20 arrested all get arrested for going on pitch?
Was it really 20? Seen a couple on pitch.
Was 2 blokes in family stand giving it large when penalty went in, then hid behind they're kids when we pulled it back.
Getting called worse than Leeds is bit harsh like. What a croc of shite!

tbf the seats in the Hartlepool away end are falling to pieces anyway also I doubt they'd be making this much carry on if they won.

Thinking about it its a shame you didn't rip the other 1000 seats out we have wanted that end to be returned to the old standing days for years. Much to do over nothing same old 50 Carlisle lads each year who probobly couldn't fight sleep had a bit too much to drink enjoyed seeing their team win and thought they could fight the world. No one died, no one got hurt. We have had a few more higher profile incidents happen outside our ground than that the sheff wed incident and Brentford end of season game. Almost over the cup final loss now well maybe after the next match anyway. Roll on December should be another decent match the last few haven't been bad.

My little scrote of a nephew got "pushed " onto the pitch and was taken to the cop shop and released at 1a.m without charge ( His version not mine )

I noticed on facebook and twitter, a load of their finest were saying things like 'can't wait to get to their sh1t hole ground for revenge' and 'lets rip their seats up'

I'm not condoning the actions of some of our fans that day, but that away end has always had broken bits of seat and things falling apart in there, even when you arrive before the game, you notice how run down it is. I'm sure some of our lot did damage there that day, but I bet the 2.3k's worth isn't all our doing

Well why don't our mob just pay up, then complain about monkey hanger fans when they turn up here and send them a bill for £5,000.

Or just tell them we won't take any next time, 900 x £20 is £18k, a lot for them to lose...
