I was speaking to some one yesterday, some one who goes to maybe a dozen games a season and he genuinely didn't know. He is going for his ticket on Friday so would probs find out then. He said he did know there were a couple of matches with 2 pm kick offs this season but hadn't thought to check whether this was one.
He also said we were very lucky in the lower leagues in that our afternoon football is still nearly always 3pm on a Saturday, something totally ingrained in our psyche, so we just don't check.

No problem with it being 2pm, I actually prefer it, better light, sooner home but just doesn't fit the pattern we have been programmed with.

It's funny, people who are big on the whole "AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL" campaign always reference the 3pm kick-off on a Saturday, yet didn't that only first come in during the 1960s? I think 2pm was actually more common back then.

I seem to remember Carlisle was quite anti the later ko. The reason quoted that they wanted to retain the 2pm was that they were in the centre of a farming community and fans needed to get home for milking.
