Well, I can understand what he's saying. It just looks wrong doesn't it. I'm quite certain there was nothing done wrong and nobody got an unfair advantage. But seriously, should somebody related to a candidate be allowed to be on a selection panel? To make it look fair, I think not.

As I say, I don't doubt the result, just the process is very clearly flawed.

What a load of bollocks this thread has turned in to. It's about Steve Patt being a complete mong and letting on that a certain person was behind the billionaire farce all a long. That is far bigger than a daft election of someone who will make f*ck all difference.

This is exactly what the board want, daft little gestures like this election to detract from the real issue which is what this thread was originally about.

To be honest guys, it's not the off topic part that bothers me, I'm a nightmare for going off topic on here...it's more the poor internet and signal in Greece and wanting to see if SP has said anything else!! Certainly not implying that anything is derogatory Melbourne, and I actually think the best way to get good input or opinions is to challenge others. Which is what is being done here - very fairly from a few parties. I'm just not entirely sure that this thread is the right place - perhaps starting another or having it on the vote count thread would have been more logical for me. But each to their own gents and ladies.

Of course things go off on a tangent. Mullen, I think you're slightly over exaggerating with that example though mate - be a pretty tenuous link for that to come about! But, to answer your question, no, I wouldn't refuse to take part, but I do also doubt that the fans rep will be involved in any direct conversation regards the billionaire. Unless of course it's the fans rep saying "give us a little bit of info" etc.

Whilst on that point Mullen; perhaps the situation of the disengagement from club to fans is because such tangents are taking place in the board room? If the fans are mentioned and someone shuns it and starts talking about the price of oil... A board room is a place where critical business decisions are made, which requires actual on topic, productive conversation. I certainly wouldn't expect PK + SK to start talking about an off topic item if I was trying to put forward the fans' views.

But, I do enjoy a pack of XL Cheese.

Id be quite disappointed if there isn't some kind of proper news story from the N&S; out of this. Theirs clearly more going on than meets the eye, that much is obvious to anyone on here, but it needs airing to a wider audience. Steve Pats bumbling ways have meant the facade has slipped a bit and i think the local media needs to bite the bullet and run with what they have.

Whichever way you look at this, if it's serious, a wind up, a genuine conspiracy or a bunch of pranksters, it stinks.

I find it depressing and off-putting and despite a recent re-invigorated performance on the pitch, another set-back.
