what a fix typical of how carlisle united is run as soon as i found out claire was endorsed by steve patt i knew straight away a fix dont trust any of them.

I think in fairness to Claire she never said she wouldn't ask the questions, just she wouldn't go in all guns blazing.

As everyone knows I have grave misgivings about the role, and as has been pointed out the system of holding the election was worse than in the old Soviet Union. But I understand Claire polled about a third of the votes, that is a decent backing, and I congratulate her on her win.

Well done too to the other 3 on their dignified campaign. Now let's hope, against hope that something happens.

I've said previously the 1 financial year term is very restrictive and limits the achievement before starting. However; it does give a get out of jail card to both parties if not working.

My issue with her is that seemingly doesn't even intend to try - which is ridiculous from a fans' rep but there we are.......

On an immediate note - how Claire chooses to do with the issue re the flag will be instructive - I expect that Claire will do nothing; let's see if I'm proved wrong....

Don't think some of the bitterness on here is necessary at all. Things like this will only work if fans are united, unfortunately that doesn't seem like a thing Carlisle fans like to do.

I wonder if there would have benefits the same accusations if anyone else had won, though it is notable that it's Mullen throwing the accusations about.

I think it would be great if all four of the candidates could work together and support each other. However successful one candidate is in the year, I think it would probably be healthier to limit it to one year only and the three other candidates this year can work with Claire then they would be even more effective should one of them stand and get it next year.

Claire has two considerable challenges to contend with, firstly relations with the club, secondly, and potentially more damaging is supporter divisions. I think getting supporters singing from the same song sheet will prove too much, there are too many individuals provoking supporter disharmony. Good luck to her.

Claire first of all well done thought you were the strongest choice out of the final 4 wasnt happy with the fact you were related to one of the selection panel which may have swung my vote but thats closed now.
However i may be speaking for myself or for the bulk of all utd supporters can you please get to the bottom of the farce that our current custodians are creating to save their own sorry skins theres no trust we feel conned misled treat like sh1t .

Whereas we had people who weren't even allowed on the ballot. The rulers chose the candidates.

I applied and failed to be selected as one of the for candidates for election. But as I said previously i would support the winning candidate.

Well done Claire, I think all four candidates were worthy of the position and all four came across well. Despite the alleged politics involved and mini meltdown by some i'd just like to say cheers for your time and effort i'm sure you'll do great.

I have no axe to grind with any of the candidates and I have seen no evidence to suggest that any candidate was unsuitable. Surely a voice at the top table can only a good thing so let's get behind the winner. So well done Claire now let's see you live up to the fans expectations.
