He needs to earn the right to go to Peterborough.

His managerial career is a work in progress, and it's currently about getting on the bus.

Did CCU start these rumours??

He doesn't seem to be the type to jump ship and leave whilst, as he has put it, we are still a work in progress. His work is just starting to come good after the sh1te he was left with.

I for one don't want him to go

Why would he want to go to Peterborough, they're a nothing club. They've had resources chucked at them for years and the best they managed was 18th in the championship and a 6,000 average crowd

If the club can get some money as compensation then I can see the three idiots letting Curle talk to them. Not sure he has done anything to justify the move yet despite a good start to the season.

Just had a look on skybet and Curle isnt even in the betting. Youd think if he was in the frame someone would have had a bet. Dont think it takes much money to move prices in these markets.

I would be gutted to see him go, yes he makes mistakes as all managers do, but I trust him and just don't think he's a liar.

However, with the web of lies that surround club with take overs, billionaires etc would you blame him for leaving?

Some on twitter suggesting we should let Curle go and replace him with Darren f***ing Edmondson oh and even worse... Greg Abbott!!!!

Well, we've had reports on here about him being seen in the car park arguing with Nixon. I don't think anything would surprise me at this club anymore. In all fairness I think he's doing fairly well, he needs to concentrate on sorting the defence, getting Atkinson back, and Troy, is a priority, but he's got us looking good going forward, and it would be a sickener to see him go now, when he might be on the brink of actually achieving something here, against all the odds.

Look at what he said about Lee Dykes turning down a job offer from Scunthorpe.

We can't let this opportunity go, maybe we should get in touch with Peterboro and tell him what a fantastic manager they're just about to sign. A manager that has given us such a water tight defence which are the envy of the football league, a rotation system that is completely flawless, not to mention his undoubtedly utterly fantastic man management attributes.
Oh yes I can't see Peterboro failing with this one.
As for his replacement? Well maybe we should go for an experienced ex international old pro that can sort out that defence.......errr maybe not. Maybe we should go for somebody with the forward thinking mentality, like using a rotation system and make 4/5 changes every game (without fail)....errrr maybe not.
Maybe we could get a manager that loves to play from the back even though we have 4th tier players, (square pegs in round holes anyone?), that sort of thing!....errr maybe not.
Oh well back to the drawing board, anyone know what Abbo is up to nowadays?

Carlisle are a bigger club than Peterborough with much more potential. The only reason their crowds were bigger in the Championship is because they had they highest number of away support in their ground in the league.

I would be gutted if Keith moved on, he has the money available to go for some decent quality players - only problem is if they fancy playing bottom tier football all the way up in Carlisle.

Apart from the blip at Plymouth we always looked like we were in the games right to the death - even at Port Vale we missed some good chances and were still in it till the end.

It is refreshing for the first time in years to think if we go one goal down we will get chances still to get something out of the game instead of collapsing.

I'd be over the moon to see him go ..the defence is an absolute shambles and while bringing in jabbo was an excellent buy wev had far better players here in the past.

If he stays, can all the people who've been banging on about wanting him to go to Peterborough support them instead?

There's no doubt that Curle's stock will have risen over the last year, as he is slowly but surely steadying the ship. Other clubs will know the mess we were in this time last year and will see where we are now and it won't have gone unnoticed, although it's still early days in our overall 'recovery'. It will be interesting to see if clubs do start sniffing around even at this stage though.

As people always point out, that simply comes with the territory when you're doing better, and I suppose it would be odd if clubs weren't at least keeping an eye on him. By the same token, you may have noticed they weren't exactly beating the door down to take Abbott or Kavanagh off our hands

Adrift at the bottom of the football league when he joined he kept us up with games to spare and we are now sitting in 11th in League Two. What more could be asked of him in the less than 12 months he's been here?

Compare the cv's of Curl & Abbot and I know which I'd prefer.
Hopefully Curl will get it right but I'm not impressed by the wing play .Defence is terrible ....doesn't pass through the middle ....of field he's done very poorly, creating disharmony.
Last year was a very poor season.
All to convenient to blame the probs on the board ,he's had a reasonable budget with out getting the best of what he had available.
Also ...the off field problems/antics are repeating what has gone on at previous clubs.

But hey there good in there as well and hopefully things do get better going forward.

How can you expect to be taken seriously when you can't correctly spell the name of either manager?
