Don't like this 'under the terms of the youth loan, can still play for the Newcastle United Development Squad.'

You're either here or you're not?

A left back! Why would we need one of them when we have super undropable Danny playing there? They still talk about him at St Mirren

are they really going to add anything to the squad or is this just good for relations? They will get little game time which usually is what the parent club insists on.

According to Keith Curle, Beardsley rates them and recommended CUFC to both players. Could be a useful link up for us.

The link below makes it sound like Paul Simpson was also involved in the move - Gilliead had been training with Coventry.

We don't know. That's the thing with these types of loans. I remember thinking similar when we signed 18yr old Tom Lawrence from Manchester United.

Hopefully the striker is more of a Tom Lawrence than a Georg Iliev.

Would have rather had a fast tall centre back to be honest but could just push danny more central...if thats even possible

Nothing to lose with these two really, for once were not desperate to add to the starting 11, these two will give us a couple extra options.

Hopefully see Grainger moved to LWB and get some proper deliveries from that side of the pitch

Can only assume they are short term deals so he can assess them and then make both or one a long term loan if they are deemed good enough, does no harm in my opinion to have potential young talent in training / friendlies.
