Clearly, not the hardest working journo. I thought checking sources and accuracy was an important part of being a reporter.

As for being a "feeder" club.....there is a world of difference between having a good relationship with other local clubs for mutual benefit and having a more formal relationship on use of players.

www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/f...s-newcastle-10061621?

Chronicle article on us being a feeder club that is linked in that article.

The feeder club idea is a disgrace. I would suggest anyone who has Netflix watches the battered [censored] of baseball. It shows how something similar in baseball destroyed the lower leagues and turned them into poorly attended reserve games for the Major league players.

I really don't see where the "journalist" has got the idea that we're offering ourselves to NUFC as a feeder club, taking a massive leap in context from what LD is quoted as saying in the article.

I agree Baggers. That is the worst written football article I have ever seen. Lee Dykes' quote is fine - good common sense. However this Adam Allcroft should look for another career. 'However Hartlepool United are a League 2 side that is closer than Newcastle' - dear me.

So the 'journalist' has taken Dykes' quote of “The links we’re developing with clubs at higher levels can only be good for Carlisle United. We have to remember that you can’t always sign the player you need on a permanent transfer" as Carlisle United offering themselves as Newcastle's feeder club? Terrible article.
