Last season a York steward picked up a lit flare and chucked it over the stadium where it could've hit anyone outside. Not sure what happened to him after that, pretty sure it was reported by quite a few people.

I'd happily accept a nil all draw today cause we really need to see the defense tighten up. Curle's mantra last season was we gotta stop the opposition playing before we can start playing, but this season its all out attack with little thought for defense and not surprisingly we end up conceding first in all games.

Hopefully the players will be very motivated by chance of a good performance tomorrow will have them on the team v Liverpool.
Probably too soon for Atkinson to come back in, but hoping to soon see a back 3 of Atkinson, Rayes and TAH with Miller, McQueen and Grainger fighting for the wing-back positions.

Looking at the plans i cant see it being cheap £37 million, it actually looks quite nice includes a leisure centre and cinema and facilities for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and York St John University

I'd definitely rather beat Liverpool than York but given the likelihood of each of those happening I definitely wouldn't be resting Troy on Saturday. Our best chance of raising our very low chances of beating Liverpool is going in with a load of momentum and playing an absolute blinder and hoping they slip up.

The league is far far more important than the cup. We're off the back of 3 league wins - remember last season when we won 3 games... Yeah we failed to build on it, went on a horrendous run and were in a relegation scrap all season which nearly resulted in us losing our league status.

Beating Liverpool would be great, but whilst losing to them would be disappointing, it would be nothing compared to being relegated out of the football league. That's why tomorrow is so important, we have to build on this run of results to make sure history doesn't repeat its self. We're not immune from relegation, we do have the worst defence in the league after all.

A win at York or L'pool?!

In 40 years of following the blues I've not even seen them play at the likes of Man Utd, Arsensal or L'pool never mind contemplate winning there. We might not get the chance to beat a big time Charlie in their back yard in our lifetimes.

Life is short and creating long lasting memories is important, winning at Anfield would be one for me. There'll (unfortunately) probably be plenty more opportunities to see the lads win at York. I suspect the majority of 6k going to Anfield would agree with me!

However, the reason I'd play Atkinson at York is because I think he and Miller are our best defenders. Troy would be best saved for beast Benteke
