In the good old days Ukraine paid 30% of the price for gas that Germany paid. And for every 3 cubic metres that crossed Ukraine they stole 1. When the Americans moved in Russia stopped subsiding gas so Ukraine has to pay market price. They built the northern pipeline to stop Ukraine from stealing gas.

Why does Russia have to sell gas to Ukraine?

By all accounts Marko, the soaring fuel cost is down your brethren to the East

Johnson has been offered gas at a price that would reduce prices. He won't sign the contract, wants to buy from America. Same for several countries in Europe. If you want to play politics, sit in the cold

Is that the deal from the Russians that cuts out Ukraine?

I’ve said it before-politicians don’t get paid enough so we end up with monkeys who then want a trough

How does this work when a lot of them are as rich as [censored] already?

Greed is greed at the end of the day, see their expense claims.

Boris is a bit of a tool but imagine if Corbyn/McDonald had been in charge in March 2020.

We’d all probably be dead by now.

Lord laft at trying to qualify Boris's crap leadership , by going down the " whatabout route " ....
Give me strength !!!
Boris goes then Gove,JRM,Patel,Raab or Sunak for PM.

Sounds good to me. Lefties and Snatsis everywhere crying.

It’ll be either Gove or Sunak. The others would be far too great a risk at a time when the party’s standing is at its lowest since taking power.

Another attempt to keep how badly the Tories have shafted the country off the front page. How many people on here have suffered because the Chinese gave some cash to a politician? How many have frozen pensions, no bus service, rocketing fuel costs, furlough or unemployment.

If one is to rule, and to continue ruling, one must be able to dislocate the sense of reality

I’d argue brazen hypocrisy from a PM is many times worse than a backbench MP taking some murky donations. If you’re gonna make the law then you absolutely have to follow it yourself.

And it’s not like the hypocrisy concerned some minor law. He introduced the most draconian laws since WW2 then decided they didn’t apply to him and his mates.

He felt it necessary to prevent people from attending funerals of parents or the births of their children, but it was OK for him to have a boozy do with 100 guests? Pull the other one

Political point scoring whilst your own party is hardly whiter than white is cringeworthy in the extreme. The last person to enter Westminster with honest intentions was Guy Fawkes.

Let's face it the whole political establishment is rotten to the core, and I include the Tories, Labour and the Lib Dems in that.

I don’t see anywhere saying the Tories took money-whereas the Labour Party have trousered a fortune.

Nobody is denying it either.

Gardiner had it coming.A total Scottish loser with an incredibly annoying ferret like voice and demeanour which grates in you. He’s finished.

Boris is a flawed genius. That is the strategy to ride the storm and I think he will.

That red wall is going to be rebuilt if he’s allowed to continue. And don’t forget, even Uxbridge isn’t completely safe for him…

This latest ‘spygate’ scandal casts a negative light on our entire political establishment. Labour, the Libs, and the tories - all caught with their pants down. Such naïveté from our ‘leaders’…

Gardiner should face the music over this - but so should the Conservative Prime Ministers (plural) whose cosy relationships with a foreign agent have lent that agent the kind of credibility necessary to exert their influence in our parliament.

But some had only loosened there belts, others had theirs round there ankles and were bent over the table begging for more :D

With all Boris's lies, broken promises and dubiousness it amazes me the number of people who still think that he is still God's gift to the country.

A bit like the Trump supporters in America I Suppose.

"She is also reported to have donated hundreds of thousands of pounds more to other parts of the Labour Party. Questions were first asked about her funding five years ago but no action was taken."

The shredders at Labour Central office will be on meltdown.

Don't you just love Politics ?

Let’s give some balance to this equation.

Gardiner is a muppet, but he had no idea who he was dealing with - just as two tory Prime Ministers were in the dark regarding her motives…

“She also has links to the Conservatives. She appears to have also developed a good relationship with David Cameron while he was prime minister. And in January 2019, she received a Points of Light Award from then premier Theresa May, in recognition of her contribution to good relations with China via the British Chinese Project.“

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10398665/MI5-send-urgent-email-MPs-warning-Chinese-woman.html

The Supreme Soviet, on the other hand, knew exactly what he was doing when inviting one hundred people round for a booze up whilst the rest of us were kept apart from our loved ones.

No amount of whataboutery can undo the damage done. The cult of personality can no longer save this abomination of a Prime Minister. For the good of his party (and his country), he simply has to go.

In today's political theater, your right, what's wrong with taking loot of a spy, I mean it's loot - eh ?

As for those buggers having a small gathering as a reward for managing a National Pandemic, shoot the lot of the buggers - eh !

As I said, Gardiner is a muppet (in fairness, I’d have said the same before this news). She clearly had the wool over his eyes, just as she played both Cameron and May for fools.

Reward for managing a pandemic? Do they inject the party line straight into your veins?

No, but tell that Chinese women to give me a call, I'm in !!
