Of the closed cases (although a Japanese woman got re-infected) deaths are at 7%.
Of the active cases 18% (7,704) are serious or critical.

2% deaths are being used by the media as that’s the reports from China. Taiwan are reporting 1/3 deaths but again that seems very high.

She was in Northern Italy skiing and was in Milan for 3 hours.
China are good at containing as they are not worried about keeping people in their flats at gun point. But believe me nothing is being done outside the few hot zones and no one is self isolating.
There is a lag behind active cases and deaths.
There is more concern about tourism and the economy in Italy - would you trust someone to self isolate?
