The next CUSG Meeting is scheduled for next Monday (18th Oct).
This is a reminder that we do not attend now, having tendered our resignation from the Group in August.
If you have any Questions you would like raised via the Meeting, you are advised to email them in to the relevant Group (As the minutes from the last Meeting said). We would assume if a Group has no direct point of contact then the central CUSG Email will make sure they get to the relevant Group - See Pic.
By all means post on here the Question’s you’re sending in, for discussion etc, but please note we won’t be sending them in for you!
We still operate a Thread for these Meetings, as people like to discuss the information that comes out from them.

I received a further email yesterday regarding my Q on the Roma Anniversary from NC:
The 50 year anniversary was discussed at length at CUSG Monday. It is covered in the minutes. The aim of the discussion was to ensure a co-ordinated approach – so everyone knew of plans of each group (if they had any) and they could support them. Some commemorative actions are progressing – t shirt, mugs, programme/publications.
In the prior month minutes, Simon’s reference to a friendly and efforts to contact them is based on your comments about attempts to contact them -that’s all. No other contact has been sought so far. The minutes refer to a direct contact in Italy which was being explored, this has progressed with a link established and an approach is to be made through an intermediary. This is seen as more likely to get a response than unsolicited calls. No steps have been taken to contact Catanzaro just or yet.
A club led event remains a possibility for local fans but nothing has been ruled in or out at this stage. The practical organisation is not the issue. The key is the form any event would take. Video footage is limited – as are images. Players and people involved (other than fans who were young kids) are a little thin on the ground. Would memories and experiences of fans alone make a viable event? These are the issues we are considering.
If you or forum users have any ideas for an event, I would be glad to consider them.

I sent a Q in regarding the 1972 Anglo-Italian 50th anniversary as it was mentioned in the last minutes.

This Q is for the Group regarding the plans for the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Anglo-Italian Cup campaign, as from the last minutes it appeared to be a Group Discussion:
In the last minutes regarding the 1972 anniversary you say “He said it would be extremely unlikely that the club could get a pre-season friendly against Roma despite efforts to contact them and ask”
Can I ask exactly what communication has taken place? Have the Club made contact with Roma directly? What about Catanzaro too?
Also, the minutes say a cohesive approach may be needed around this occasion, but it appears that the London Branch will be doing something, whereas an event at the Club itself ‘could be laid on quite easily’. This suggests that one is concrete whereas another is only maybe. This isn’t a dig at the LB I’ll add, more that they are organised whilst CUSG have just sat on the original idea after it was first mooted by myself several months ago. It will be most disappointing if there is nothing local to mark this famous occasion!
I then received a reply prior to the Meeting:

We are meeting tonight and it will be discussed but from previous experience I think it unlikely that an event will be organised. In the current state, I imagine that the club will not be thinking about pre season friendlies.
A commemorative t shirt is being produced by the London Branch and they are looking into organising a game against Roma supporters based in London.

CUFC had made no formal approach to Roma for organising a friendly.
So my Q has sort of been answered, in that the Club have made no contact, but that kind of goes against the suggestion that attempts had been made (not sure by whom) in the previous minutes?

There’s only one graph/table that counts and we are at the bottom of it.
PS isn’t going to buy this-we all know that.
If the BOD were genuinely wanting out, the strategy should be to produce a vendor Information Memorandum with a clear message about the debt-I would suggest a lien over transfer fees-say 50/50 split with the buyer until the debt is cleared with shares handed over for £1 and the trust confirming they will dilute to 9.9pc

NC spends an awful lot of time explaining the finances-maybe they spend more time focussed ON the finances

I haven’t asked a thing this month - I’m too angry at the state of the club that any answers wouldn’t make me feel better.
The club/trust/and some supporters infuriate me. Not bothering with Saturday doesn’t look like any protests took off so I’ll do something else instead.

Yes, but I guess we all have other things as well. One of the weaknesses of CUSG is that anyone on that board are already doing things for their own group and there are only so many hours in the day.
To be fair it's not something I would have taken on even if I had the time. It would have been pistols at dawn behind Debenhams with Mullen or Kessler long before Christmas
