Hello folks,

The next CUSG Meeting is scheduled for next Monday (18th Oct).

This is a reminder that we do not attend now, having tendered our resignation from the Group in August.

If you have any Questions you would like raised via the Meeting, you are advised to email them in to the relevant Group (As the minutes from the last Meeting said). We would assume if a Group has no direct point of contact then the central CUSG Email will make sure they get to the relevant Group - See Pic.

By all means post on here the Question’s you’re sending in, for discussion etc, but please note we won’t be sending them in for you!

We still operate a Thread for these Meetings, as people like to discuss the information that comes out from them.

Thanks,

Admin.

Can’t be bothered to write out questions and wait longer than 3 weeks for an answer.

I just have to sit back and watch what a shit job everyone’s doing.

Got to say I do miss the ease of asking questions and the quick way the message board sent them in (can't have been easy with all the noise surrounding the qs). I got very fed up of the same folk asking the same qs again and again but I did find some of the answers interesting.

This time I have two questions that I really would like answers to, both to the club, and I have actually started to write an email a couple of times but the whole thing is a bit laborious. Write the email, then hey everyone I've written an email look at me, the wait for an answer to email, then post an answer to email, and to be honest I just can't be bothered.

Disappointing nobody from any other Group stepped up to the plate to offer to sort any Q’s that came in mind…

:)

Yes, but I guess we all have other things as well. One of the weaknesses of CUSG is that anyone on that board are already doing things for their own group and there are only so many hours in the day.

To be fair it's not something I would have taken on even if I had the time. It would have been pistols at dawn behind Debenhams with Mullen or Kessler long before Christmas :D

Correct Bumble and it’d be face to face :p

I haven’t asked a thing this month - I’m too angry at the state of the club that any answers wouldn’t make me feel better.

The club/trust/and some supporters infuriate me. Not bothering with Saturday doesn’t look like any protests took off so I’ll do something else instead.

I sent a Q in regarding the 1972 Anglo-Italian 50th anniversary as it was mentioned in the last minutes.

Will pop it up when I get a reply in due course…
The briefing states "no new meetings held" (re: succession).

Yet AJ last week:

"I can inform supporters that we continue, on a regular basis, with talking to a possible investor wanting to take over the club."

:D :D :D :D

Even if only Jenkins, Nixon and Day were talking e.g. on Zoom, I would call that a meeting!!!

So the important question is is Jenkins telling porkie pies?

At the very bottom of NC’s piece is an interesting link to a PDF Document regarding ‘understand the Club’s finances’.

NC spends an awful lot of time explaining the finances-maybe they spend more time focussed ON the finances

Isn't that Suzanne Kidd's job?
Bloody hell. 63 page finance document. I'm no business man, but is this all necessary and the best use of time? Laffy?

It seems completely OTT on graphs, pie charts and Venn diagrams!

Unless Suzanne Kidd and/or NC do this for fun in their own time, maybe we need rid of one of them.

To me it’s a document to sell the club.

A prospectus mmmm - where have we heard that before.

But we aren’t for sale or only to one man therefore it’s utterly pointless.

What about the other player that may be in the game according to whispers

There’s only one graph/table that counts and we are at the bottom of it.

PS isn’t going to buy this-we all know that.

If the BOD were genuinely wanting out, the strategy should be to produce a vendor Information Memorandum with a clear message about the debt-I would suggest a lien over transfer fees-say 50/50 split with the buyer until the debt is cleared with shares handed over for £1 and the trust confirming they will dilute to 9.9pc

I sent a Q in regarding the 1972 Anglo-Italian 50th anniversary as it was mentioned in the last minutes.

Will pop it up when I get a reply in due course…

My Q was this:

This Q is for the Group regarding the plans for the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Anglo-Italian Cup campaign, as from the last minutes it appeared to be a Group Discussion:

In the last minutes regarding the 1972 anniversary you say “He said it would be extremely unlikely that the club could get a pre-season friendly against Roma despite efforts to contact them and ask”

Can I ask exactly what communication has taken place? Have the Club made contact with Roma directly? What about Catanzaro too?

Also, the minutes say a cohesive approach may be needed around this occasion, but it appears that the London Branch will be doing something, whereas an event at the Club itself ‘could be laid on quite easily’. This suggests that one is concrete whereas another is only maybe. This isn’t a dig at the LB I’ll add, more that they are organised whilst CUSG have just sat on the original idea after it was first mooted by myself several months ago. It will be most disappointing if there is nothing local to mark this famous occasion!

I then received a reply prior to the Meeting:

Hi Dan

We are meeting tonight and it will be discussed but from previous experience I think it unlikely that an event will be organised. In the current state, I imagine that the club will not be thinking about pre season friendlies.

A commemorative t shirt is being produced by the London Branch and they are looking into organising a game against Roma supporters based in London.

Simon

I responded with:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I trust the Q’s enclosed will be answered in full.

Dan

I have received no further reply.

In the minutes, the following sentence was noted:

CUFC had made no formal approach to Roma for organising a friendly.

So my Q has sort of been answered, in that the Club have made no contact, but that kind of goes against the suggestion that attempts had been made (not sure by whom) in the previous minutes?

Anyways, looks like be sod all round these parts to commemorate the 1972 Anglo-Italian Campaign…

Out of interest would you or anyone else consider that there should be a 50th anniversary celebration/commemoration of our 1st division status?

Of course their should be!

Shame we used that kit design this year, thus rendering it daft in only 3yrs time!
