Hello folks,

The next CUSG Meeting is scheduled for next Monday (6th Sept).

This is a reminder that we will not be attending, having tendered our resignation from the Group recently.

If you have any Questions you would like raised via the Meeting, you are advised to email them in to the CUSG email address - Hello@cusg.co.uk

By all means post on here the Question’s you’re sending in, for discussion etc, but please note we won’t be sending them in for you!

We’ll still operate a Thread for these Meetings, as people like to discuss the information that comes out from them.

Thanks,

Admin.

I’ve posted some regarding the trust but I’m some for the club I can’t be arsed to type now.

What’s the point anymore?

Everything about the club frustrates me from the owners to the trust. When you’re in tier 4 and the number one priority isn’t promotion than all those connected have failed.

We’ve also the trust saying tonight that these succession meetings haven’t happened, yet more bollocks.

I’ve gave up - had enough

I’ve sent the following questions, to be answered by CUFC and CUOSC.

“A group of German businessmen recently bought a majority shareholding in Dunfermline Athletic F.C. reportedly for a seven figure sum whilst retaining the existing shareholders on the club’s board of directors. This sounds like exactly the sort of deal that the current owners of CUFC claim to have been looking for and failing to find for more than a decade.

The German group said that they looked at many football clubs across Europe, to find one that would most benefit from their investment.

Question 1 - Were the owners of CUFC, including CUOSC, aware that this group was looking for a club to invest in? If not, why not?

Question 2 - Was there any contact with the group? If so, how did that go?

Question 3 - Why do you think that the group chose Dunfermline Athletic over CUFC? Is it because you aren’t trying hard enough to attract new investment?”

By this reply I take it they aren’t taking questions anymore.

Hi Richard

I have forwarded your questions to CUOSC to reply to you direct.

Any future questions can be raised direct to CUOSC or if applicable directed to the club as explained in this article:

Thanks

"Anonymous complaints cannot be investigated."

This is incorrect. Anonymous complaints can be investigated, the club just don't wan't to investigate them. They have this strange obsession with wanting to know peoples names, which I find quite concerning considering the directors history for phoning up fans employers trying to get them sacked.

Once they have unearthed you things will change .

Is John Nixon going to phone up my employer trying to get me sacked for criticizing him?

No he will just turn to his right and ask NC to fire you

The CUSG constitution says ”The Group will be transparent and open in its activities.

By inviting people to send their Question’s directly to those concerned it instantly becomes a more private situation, clearly nobody is prepared to collate them and sort the answers!

Not all of our fanbase are in anyway connected to the Groups who will be attending, indeed some/many have zero inclination to become Members of said Groups. By suggesting these fans should simply contact the Group’s direct with any questions they are being denied access via the collective process. Some fans feel that asking via CUSG is their only avenue given previous dealings with some of the Groups.

A rocky road to begin wandering down IMO…

And that's exactly why I don't attach my name, because I don't want them to be able to fire me for my comments.

I want to say that for once, I wholeheartedly agree you with CCU. Fan engagement has been a problem for a long time at BP, but I feel like the regular Q&A's helped a little bit to address that.

Fair enough if you and the other mod aren't doing it anymore, but could we still use this thread to ask questions if someone else is? Maybe if we could all post our questions on here, and then guilt Mullen into collating and sending them? :D Would that be allowed?

Some fans feel that asking via CUSG is their only avenue given previous dealings with some of the Groups.

It was the only way I could put questions to the club and the Trust and feel safe there would be no retaliation in my personal or professional life. Now I feel as though I'm being denied access to the fan engagement process.

Hold up everyone a minute please.

Firstly please note I am speaking as me, not as a representative of CUSG but:

The messageboarders resigned after the last meeting of CUSG. There has not been another meeting.

As far as I'm aware nothing has, as yet, been agreed by CUSG re if questions are going to continue, in what form etc etc.

Surely that has to be decided at the next meeting which is scheduled for Monday.

Bumble, their reply to Mullen seems like they want future questions to just be sent privately?

Personally if I want to know something I ask a question, if I think that asking a question may get me into trouble then should I really be asking it . Simple enough concept to me , ask via a group or e mail NC usually does the trick , but I wouldn't ask a question that would never be answered then moan about it eg how much is XY on a year or does YZ dress to the left or right

The asking of Questions has never been solely limited to Users of this Forum, it’s just that many people preferred via us as they knew it would at least get taken to the Meetings…

Yep - I think it’s been decided already!

If Bumble has an alternative suggestion she can sit on Monday and suggest but the reply was quite clear as to what’s now expected.

I did like that, and at the last one you even included a question I submitted after the deadline and had just assumed wasn't going to be included. So credit for that.

As I’ve said before questions were answered this way and those that weren’t were rightly scrutinised.

The trust take an age to reply, if they decide to.

My opinion I can’t be arsed what’s decided. Better things to do with my time.

Asking a question is only setting yourself up to be patronised by that guy who dresses like a sex tourist or Flabby Gubbins so what’s the point.

Yes, sorry, just got round to reading the relevant emails.

I think that's a terrible way of looking at things. Fans should be able to criticize the club or ask questions without fearing retaliation in their personal or professional lives for doing so. The CUSG meetings were one of the ways we could do that.

I simply can't fathom why on earth the club or the Trust would need to know a persons name in order to answer a question. What are their motives for wanting one, what legitimate reason could they possibly have for wanting that information?

Is JN happy to participate in a committee with Peter Ridsdale, a shamed football administrator banned from being a company director for 7 1/2 years?
