Mullen, that’s what happens here when you are open and honest and explain how and why you did something, all open and above board. Someone with no intention of trying to understand how something happened, someone with an agenda, comes along and gives you grief. Honesty is no good here, the principle is tainted, no one is interested in what you say as long as they can try and shove it back down your throat.

You presumed I’d created fake messages from NS or conspired with Kessler - that was the point of the FFS.

And If you’d read the original thread you’d see the reasons I did it.

You’re mind worked overtime and accused me of those things which are false. The very same thing you say Kesslers doing.

You said I protested too much, I couldn’t win. If I didn’t say anything people would say I’m creating fake accounts. I gave the explanation.

My mind works in a logical way you state you create fake accounts in a very succinct fashion in one post not the reason why.

I did feel you were in that vein at one time but have reconsidered those views in recent months and posts.

I try to read this thread only at weekends doubt I’ll bother anymore it’s a real quagmire of dissatisfaction.

Nah Bob, chill, I’m spitting nothing out. You need to realise that this is a “one off” board. But there are many, many others that are groups; footymad and vital to name but two. Things work differently on those - not better, not worse just different. I’ve said before on here that some posters are very insular, this being the only board they ever use. Get around a bit and you’ll find that the worlds your lobster, just slightly different.

Thanks I appreciate this and at times it is difficult to judge words cheers and let’s get back to football no matter how dire at times (Carlisle I mean) not our new beloved national team ?

But I do that because the possibility that the Trust may have influenced or asked the moderators of an "independent" fans forum to get rid of a poster they don't like is a major, deeply concerning issue that I think shouldn't be let go until it is conclusively addressed. You can argue that Barry was a thug and deserved to be banned and honestly I would probably agree with that. But that isn't the point. The point is that while the mods can chose to ban Barry or not, it's not appropriate for the Trust or any other outside organization to have any input in that decision. We should feel able to criticize the Trust without worrying that our posts will all be deleted as a result.

I accept it's not appropriate for me to hijack the entire messageboard with it, and that's why I'm only discussing it in this one thread.

I think that is due to certain users on here being more interested in point scoring and winning arguments. They aren't arguing a position in good faith, they just want to try and catch you out.

Kess, plenty of us have been openly critical of the trust, some vociferously so. There is no worry that we’ll be deleted for doing so, it simply doesn’t happen.

If Barry has been deliberately disposed of, it’s for other reasons - and frankly most of us simply aren’t bothered. Personally I found him quite entertaining. But let’s face it, he was deliberately controversial, pushing the limits of decency at every opportunity, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he went so far as to open the forum up to possible legal difficulties. If that did indeed happen, the silence from admin would certainly make sense - and the issue should be left to rest.

How would silence make sense? They could just say that NS posts could open the forum up to legal difficulties, we've tried warning him several times, and now he's banned. That way we know it was the mods decision alone and there wasn't any interference from the Trust or others. The only time I can think of where silence would make sense is if the mods got a gagging order from the police not to discuss it but I doubt that has happened.

Yes I said there is a possibility that the mods might have a genuine reason for silence. But I then went on to say that I think it's extremely unlikely that such a possibility has occurred. The circumstances in which a gagging order might be issued don't seem applicable to Barry's situation.

No Kess, I’m not ‘trying to catch you out’. Stop playing the victim. I pointed out your acknowledgment that their may be circumstances which justify their silence. That’s not done in ‘bad faith’, whatever spin you put on it.

Munchy only this one . But as i said to Kessler you say tomato I say Tomayto etc etc . Kessler may or may not have a point to discuss but they have delivered it in a way thats pissed more off than its impressed

I don’t think the trust have a clue what they stand for. Not had faith in them for at least a decade, and personally think they bring little to nothing to the club.

I've agreed to limit discussion of Barry's missing posts to a single thread. Everybody knows which thread it is and can avoid it if they want. And yet we still constantly have people opening up a thread about Barry's posts only to complain they are having to read about Barry's posts.

It doesn't, but that's not my fault. When I first posted the thread I called it "Do you think the mods deleted Barry's posts?"

The mods then changed it to "Kessler's Thread" and when I asked for it to be changed back, they refused. I think the original title was better at describing what the thread is about but for some reason the mods won't allow that title.

There's even a trace of the old title if you examine the URL of this thread closely

Then why did you leave out what I said immediately afterwards, that the possibility was extremely unlikely? It felt like you were being intentionally misleading. Yes, I do acknowledge that in theory there are circumstances which might justify the mods silence, but that doesn't mean those circumstances are likely, or even remotely realistic.
