Yes its weird especially with all the guidance in place for their journey through junior teams and into the county set up.

Maximum overs at u13 is 4 u15 is 5 and so on.

It makes you wonder is this is what is actually impacting all these injuries, i.e. their bodies are not used to it!

Good to see Brook get in he looks a talent

The number of Pace Bowlers out injured is ridiculous!

Archer, Wood, Stone, Mahmood, Woakes, Fisher and S.Curran. Even Robinson been hampered in recent weeks. Surely something isn’t right here??

Ex-Australia women's coach Mott takes charge of England's white ball men. Complicated.

Two new faces in Brook and Potts, otherwise as you were with Anderson and Broad back:

Really pleased with that - good appointment hopefully. Class act - great captain and excellent cricketer. Got to be a step in the right direction after Giles and Silverwood.

Agree that McCullum is an ambitious choice and along with Stokes they will adopt an attacking approach. Unfortunately, they need to find another 3 or 4 competent batsmen who can bat for more than a few overs.
Also just heard the news that Graham Thorpe is seriously ill. What a player he was. Fingers crossed he's OK.

Impressive Media Duty yesterday, confirmed he’ll bat at 6 and still bowl too…

Strange one this, he didn't want it last year but unfortunately he was the only option.

Bound to impact on his batting and bowling performance which weakens our batting even more than it is already.

Hopefully if it means he bowls less, he should have fewer injury problems as he puts his body through hell for the cause.

And finally, to Radio Cumbria. He's not "Cumbrian Ben Stokes". He lived here for a few years but, that doesn't make him a Cumbrian. Is James Phillips a Cumbrian.......NO!!!

The only realistic option wasn’t he?

Can’t see Stokes feature in the T20 team now, also wonder if his bowling will be lessened, basically a few overs here and there to break a partnership (Something he has a knack of!)?

Really hope it works out but can't help worry about all of the added pressure that will come with the job and the impact on him.
Perhaps it shows just how few options there are currently for the job.
Mike Brearley is 80 today. Sadly no one about today of that quality.

You can't give these a second chance by dropping catches. Game lost there!

Got to laugh…

Kent's County Championship warm-up against Lancashire has been abandoned due to snow fall. The perils of playing cricket in March... 🥶

Currently sit 9th in the World Test Championship table. Bangladesh are 7th.

A new low in English test history. The reset has failed thanks to incompetent batsmen and bowlers who fail to understand what line and length means.
