I think Oldham are in a bit of trouble, things have been difficult there for a while, and now they have a transfer embargo and they have let Paul Murray go, who was head of their Academy and trying to hold it together on a shoestring. The owner certainly isn't popular.
Well the Oldham fans must be taking the piss - they have a decent manager and players of the calibre of Adams and Hope.
If that is being held together by a shoestring then Jenkins must be using his own faeces to hold Carlisle United together.
Their manager got sacked from his last job, Adams is aging, Hope failed at Swindon, and Oldham finished 18th last season.
I liked Curly Keith, enjoyed the Adams/Grainger partnership, and felt Hope was underrated in his time here. But nothing lasts forever. We’re in a far better position than Oldham as it stands.
I would say that Curle is streets ahead of Beech as a manager and there is no way we would knock back Hope and Adams as they are still decent, Adams may be aging but he still tore us a new one last season.
The owner does seem an odd one though but so is ours, he is now at that age that we all would like to get to and many will not see but is it normal for someone in his condition to be owning a football club, especially when he puts no cash in himself - they will be wheeling him out eventually and he will probably be like a mute Davros, I am no fan of his but he surely deserves more dignity than that.
