Sounds like we’ll be missing one or two first choice players tomorrow….

“It will be very clear on Saturday afternoon when the 18 are selected who they are. I’m not going to make Crawley’s match preparation easier by saying who it is.”

Very unlucky for Back, but Ellis is playing quite well. Let's hope he takes his chance.
Barclay has never got going, he had the same issues last season. Maybe better to let him go back to Stockport

Think Dec was possibly mentioned?

We’re due to play Blackpool in the Reserve Cup, then midweek after there’s a Cumberland Cup game, be good to see him involved in some way…

Awful news for Finn been impressive this season . Will be a massive miss , will be interesting to see how long till Joel senior is away from fitness as we will need cover.

Silly now:

3/4 weeks for Feeney, 3/4 months for Back. Need Senior back, and as soon as he returns I’d genuinely consider having a look at Ellis as the third CB.

Given our position, I’d say we could have been genuine promotion contenders had we been a bit more fortunate on the injury front. Whelan the latest casualty, in a position we really can’t afford to lose anybody.

Dennis was hobbling around the pitch with what looked like the same issue when he scored the fourth today, they were just about to make the substitution. Fortunately, it looks like an issue that with the right treatment, they can just about manage, even if it's just for an hour or so each game.

Feeney and Back went off with a recurrence of their hammy-related niggles, fingers crossed, both are nothing too serious.

Good to see Simmo has brought a chiropractor in to help Kristian Dennis with a nerve issue in his calf. I think it will be a big help for Dennis psychologically as well as sorting out the sciatic pain. I really appreciate that Simmo has been open and honest with the injury problem and sense that we are now well past the worst of it.

Where's Fishburn when you need him?

Maybe worth a recall for Saturday if Sho-Silva and Dennis aren't ready?

Failing that I'd give Bollado another opportunity.

Keep him at Morpeth. He is doing well there. We pulled him early from Lancaster too. Do not think Simmo would pull him back especially after what happened at Blyth.

Bollado is not been a disaster either.

Barclay has done the same injury again.

Stretton has rolled his ankle.

Sho-Silva still doesn’t feel right enough to be involved.

Not looking good for Saturday in terms of forward options.

That was a very good, open and honest conversation with Simmo on injuries. I think his reticence on who else picked up slight injuries is because whoever they are they may still be playing on Saturday. Such a shame about Omari after his wonderful performance at Hartlepool. However Simmo has just said he has a history of hamstring sprains so a recurrence at some stage was probably always on the cards. Edmo is looking good though so I expect him to feature on Saturday.

So no Patrick or Back for the weekend. I wonder who the other few that picked up injuries that Simpson isn’t mentioning?

This is by far the worst ever season I can remember for injuries.

We’ve probably had about 5 years worth of injuries in 3 months.

Really feel for Patrick he was finally getting his form back and the team with him playing like that finally brings their 2 goal limit.

On the positive side Edmo was running freely with no obvious injury hangover. He'll be feeling the shift he put in but I'd be hopeful he'll be fit enough to maybe start next Saturday.

Fin Back and Omari Patrick both off with hamstring injuries today.

To me Back’s looked the more serious of the two.

It would be a shame if Patrick is out for a bit now having looked back to his best today.

Fingers crossed this isn’t more bad luck.

Aye fair enough, player welfare and health should be taken seriously of course.
Make it very expensive to run a football club though.
