People really write any old rubbish on here. Not a chance we were offered £1 for Fishburn, and no way where they waiting for Fishburn to be moved of to pay for Devitt. What is the point of coming out with obvious nonsense?
Any update here? Simmo was clear deadline of yesterday.
Done deal
Announcement later in the afternoon

It was a story I was told when he went to Lancaster. CP had offered £1m, all in. Beech said no, he thought he would be worth more in the future. I thought he even went to train with Newcastle?
He didn't shine in the first team unfortunately, still got time though
Maybe not. Newcastle were interested as well I believe
Aye, that'll have made all the difference. Allegedly we received an offer of £1m for him from Palace last year. I wish we'd taken it
🚨 JAMIE DEVITT has accepted a new contract with Carlisle United. Done deal. #cufc #devittstays

We don't have the cash to pay a player £75k a year when that player will be fit for an hour a game for 6 weeks, then be out injured for months. His set piece delivery, assists, goals & experience aren't much use when he is in the stands. Pay as you play, or Jamie mitigates the risk by coaching, scouting etc, which would probably be good for him if it leads him into a career after playing
Probably the most sensible post you’ve made in the last 5 years.
High or low bar?
