The player not the lass by the way.

If Bury did fold then the best solution in my eyes is three down from League one and three up from the Conference instead of two to make up the numbers.

I find it really unsavoury when managers do that sort of thing, was there any need for Pressley to say that?
If I was a Bolton or Bury fan I would be saying who the [censored] do Carlisle and their manager think they are - so well run that they owe circa 5m and the ground is covered in bird shit.

Pressley's quite right.
It's unfair to clubs that try to stay solvent and within the rules. Clubs overspend, go bust effectively and at worst, only get a slap on the wrist with a points deduction. Knowing that if it goes tits up, they would be thrown out of the EFL would clarify their thinking.
The Financial Fair Play appears to be a joke as well, but that's another subject.

We all know that clubs shouldn't overspend but like Bury and Bolton it is their gamble to take.
Boot on the other foot and say we were Bury and a league manager randomly came out and said that we should be kicked out of the league then I would be sickened.

What Bolton got away with last season was incredible, the whole Christian Doidge transfer scenario alone. He played for them, scoring crucial goals against relegation rivals and they never paid a penny for him and hadn't been able to afford him in the first place.

When I was at Motherwell we were waiting for a transfer fee from Cardiff-they kept putting us off for months and months but they then publicly went out and signed another expensive player.
We put a winding up petition in against them, much to their horror and anger. They went public with it too as if they would get any sympathy. We got paid of course but the grief was appalling-as if we had been the guilty party for having the audacity to ask for our money and apply normal tactics to get it.
