They tried and it was shot down ... a step too far it seems. So they look to establish B teams in another competition and suddenly that step doesn't seem so big. Until the likes of Harvey are removed from the FL The PL will have an ally at worst and a puppet at best on their payroll which means they could well get whatever they want in the long term.

Exactly Barry which is why i dont think them being in this competition will have any bearing on B teams getting in the league structure. They still shouldnt be in it though.

The away game will be Sunderland because we played Morecambe away last season. According to the article, 'if there is a situation where two teams meet in the Group Stages for a second successive season, then the club who was at home in 2017/18 will play away in 2018/19'.
