Unfortunately not so it'll have to wait until next week now. My advice is if you want to do the fells around Loweswater would be to do them when the Summer rush is on in the centre around Keswick way to escape from the crowds if you don't like having to queue.

Those were the fells I started walking last year when I returned to Fell Walking after a few years break. I was nearly blew off the edge of Low Fell looking towards the Lake. There were also some fell ponies up there which I'd never encountered before on my walks.

NCF, one of my favs is the route up Riggindale Crag Straits/ridge (where Golden Eagles used to nest until quite recently) and onto top of High Street, Mardale Ill Bell and then down by think it is Small Water. Couple of best tarns in Lakes.

Aye, there`s some great walks round there BV Boy, a few photos of that walk taken a couple of years ago about this time of year.

Might just whet NCF`s appetite for a bit of an explore in that area.

Some fantastic colours in the leaves and fells at the moment. I've got a new camera and am battling to get the hang of it, so have been out and about a bit.

You don't have to go far to see real beauty.

There's somthing about the drive drive to Coniston /Langdale this time of the year the fells after you pass Keswick light up with colour Rydal this Morning was stunning Thirlmere too.

Lovely time of year tbh.

On a Hogmanay holiday on the Isle of Arran, a couple of days ago when sober and able to walk fairly straight, an ascent of Goatfell to work up a thirst for the upcoming celebrations, a beautiful day, quite rare for this time of year in these parts. Did this walk about two and a half years ago, but bit to [censored] by midges, no problem this time.

I love Arran, went up Goat Fell about 40 years ago. We had a sit down about half way up and enjoyed a thermos of coffe. I felt something move by my ankle and was a bit put out to see an adder slithering away, was very glad I hadn't sat on it!
