Been told by a very reliable source that this isn't investment it's a full takeover.
You mean you read it on James Phillips Twitter
More reliable than Mr Philips and more reliable than the trust sunshine.
I knew about Day a lot earlier than the trust did
I wouldn't begrudge AJ becoming honorary life president if it did become a takeover - the bloke is a fan and has put his cash in over time.
It's what would happen to Nixon, Pattinson and Clibbens that is important - These three have a negative impact in most fans eyes.
Kidd and King would get a chance to prove their worth under new MD/Chief Exec for me - Working under the current regime must be frustrating!
Would also be interested in any potential Trust involvement and/or possible dilution.
Might Clibbens be getting a slightly unfair deal because he's effectively the mouthpiece for AJ, JN and, to a lesser extent SP?
If he had been brought in after a takeover by new owners might he be looked on more favourably? Guilty by association, perhaps?
Totally disagree. Someone told Barry at one of those fans seminars, where he goes and annoys people, that Clibbens is an arsehole so we've all got to hate him and hound him out the club. It's the law.
The family weren't too impressed with the last purchase from EWM....
Your daughter(?) seems quite impressed..
No, this is a 'similar' family, my outfit has a bigger dong and less pubes.

Nah, an angry bear in shackles that has been poked with sticks - let the bear loose giving them a five yard start.

Oh God, not another "I'm Richard Mullen and I'm important because I'm in the know" saga.
I thought we'd finished with that after the Lapping deal ended.
Its obvious you have contacts very close to a certain person . Fair play to you for sharing but a couple of things crossed my mind . 1 - I hope it doesn't affect your relationship with this person and 2 - are you being used as a means of dripping info into the open.Been told by a very reliable source that this isn't investment it's a full takeover.

Oh, not this again, I had enough of it last time with the Lapping deal, people crying into their milk because Richard Mullen knows more than they do.
Grow up!
I just happen to know stuff, so what, and I put it on here so that people that want to know and believe it can, if you don't like it so be it.
Are we any closer to knowing whats going on now the document has been posted to companies house? Are we looking at investment or a takeover?
I think Laffy is probably correct, a close friend of mine who played for the club until recently told me a while ago that the club is paying huge bonuses which are linked to league position (not results) and are totally unsustainable, bearing in mind we have been in the top 3 for most of the season the cash-flow is likely to be taking a significant battering!

Which genius signed those contracts off then if that is the case?
Thanks Silentone. that all looks very standard. I think people have pieced together most of the clues. It looks very much like a two-stage process. EWM come in now as lender of last resort taking out PFD (Pioneer) and probably absolving AJ from the need to put any more money in. EWM will then look at stadium naming rights, shirt sponsorship etc and possibly a full takeover in the summer. The Jenkins family can withdraw gracefully from supporting the club financially leaving AJ there as Life President. Probably some more information will be released later this week and more in the programme notes on Saturday.
If my guesswork is correct then this has to be good news all round.
Keith Curle will be the excuse next.
I just hope the stayaways because of the horsemen are true to their word and come back in their droves to support the new regime.
not holding my breath though.
My guess is this was driven by cash flow-or lack of.Fair play to AJ if he has turned the tap off-I would do the same and change direction as he has clearly become the crutch in the absence of other funding.I doubt this was intentional on his part but we all have a limit.

Its totally normal to have such bonuses... KC had always said contracts are incentivised !

Its totally normal to have huge bonuses that are unsustainable, are you sure?
It's a calling-you wake up one morning and think it's your turn/time.Inexplicable

If you got a phone call in the future then Laffy from the new owner, if there is to be one - would you consider in any way jumping on board in some capacity

Plus he's probably had a sickner over the billionaire and had his eyes opened..... and that's being charitable to him and accepting the never ending tale was in fact true!

Im chomping at the bit marra..on hearing this speculation..lets hope its not another false dawn. I expect others like myself will follow.
All looking quite exciting then if Carwashes theory is correct.
Don't know what the set up will be but Nixon and Pattinson will be uncomfortable if they are forced to engage with the fans more and not be allowed to hide anymore.
You can't buy success but it would be nice to see a well run club with people running it that create that buzz that makes people feel that they are welcome back, they may even improve the catering - just little things.
And lets not forget, we are only two promotions away from being in what I believe is one of the most exciting leagues in Europe due to its unpredictability.
All sounds good, a bit like the Berlin Wall being smashed down in footballing terms

Let's not be getting carried away, a takeover yes but to improve catering would be inconceivable!
To tie two popular threads together, there was a story EWM was moving its HQ to Carlisle from Langholm to escape Sturgeon's tartan jackboot (well the financial version of it). Investing in CUFC could be part of this grander scheme.

Orfc, I was thinking exactly the same thing after reading the news and star article from last November. http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/business/National-retailer-poised-to-make-Carlisle-its-headquarters-bringing-300-jobs-7bfb776f-66b7-4e8a-9769-ad401600e46d-ds
Rather than spend millions on that building in the centre of Carlisle with the attendant traffic and parking problems they could redevelop part of Brunton Park for offices. A stadium used only on Tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons with a few summer concerts could easily accommodate 300 employees working normal office hours.
