Yeah, I’ve loads of songs as I like as a favourite.

That’s it exactly after I opened this thread I rummaged through some of my fav songs to think about a top ten and haven’t a scooby.
Flicked on an old fav, Senses working overtime, by XTC but it’s just a comfortable song I enjoy and counting back wouldn’t get in my top 100 probs.
These questions are very stimulating but a bit like trying to name your fav Carlisle player over the years so difficult sigh
Very difficult to narrow down to my 10 favourite songs, never mind to one.
Loads of favourites for differing reasons. Some old, some quite recent.
But then I thought about it, and there's only one song that when I hear it, no matter what I'm doing, it makes me stop, and just sit and listen to it undistracted.
That song is Sunshine on Leith by The Proclaimers.
Absolutely magical.
So for the above reasons, I suppose this would be my favourite.
If you search on YouTube there's a video of the Hibs fan singining Sunshine on Leith at Hampden after they won the Scottish Cup (2016?) for the first time in generations.
It makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck! As you say, absolutely magical.
My youngest daughter lived just off Leith Walk and we walked past her local when that game was on. The atmosphere in there was electric but unfortunately a few hours after the game it all went apeshit bottles glasses flying and huge brawl just hibs fans letting off steam 😂
