Rigg clearly doesn't fit into this new style of football we're playing. It's a shame but hopefully if he does move on he'll stay in the professional game.

As for the team, I hope it's Grainger on the left as at Hartlepool. It's more of a cautious approach with the 4 in midfield but it worked at QPR and Liverpool.

That could be the box in midfield again he's played against QPR and the Scouse filth.

Dicker Joyce
Kennedy Sweeney

I could be guessing wrong.

Radio saying Grainger is getting ripped at every opportunity. I thought Gillesphey did well in that role on Saturday and looked a better option than Grainger in that LCB role. DG would be better utilised at LWB IMO.

Are we capable of keeping a clean sheet though? looks/sounds doubtful.

Newport currently 2-0 down to fellow strugglers Crawley, well what do you know. Piss poor result on Saturday that and it will be more telling when their sitting with less than 20 points at Christmas.

I don't were freaking awful. Players look like they don't give a hoot and trying to get Lerch sacked. MRF and I will be having a meltdown this Sunday if it continues.

Back on track Orient take 93 seconds to equalise.

So irritating, poor defending for the equaliser, still take a draw as we've been poor all night. No idea why Curle has just been sent off.

Its gonna be a real roller coaster that division! Had we got all 3 points at York as we should have and beaten a poor Newport we'd be joint top!!!

Great win. Frustrating that we can draw with Liverpool, beat Orient away but can't beat the bottom team at home. Hopefully it was just a blip and we can build on this on Saturday.

That above is a stat that amazes me, considering the goals conceded and fragility of or defending. Can we keep it up?

Doesn't it just! To have that result smack bang in the middle of 2 of the best away performances we'll have this season is incredibly annoying.

It shows we're capable of being a good team, but we need to be consistent and not switch off in the "home bankers".

the way we're set up means any individual errors or slips generally create scoring opportunities for the opposition. I know that sounds obvious but we lack cover when we've three at the back. On saturday, butcher realised if he allowed us time to play the passing, patient game, eventually we would score. If they got at us high up the pitch we would crack and we did. An own goal yes, but almost forced.

What is extra frustrating is that if it hadn't been for the collapse at York and the defeat against Newport which we all had down as a certain 3 pts we'd be joint top on 21. real open league this year..... Turns out League 2 is the greatest league in the world

Great 3 points that. It was hard to listen to on the radio.... sounded like we took an absolute pasting on the radio and got very lucky. But hey, I'll take lucky all season.

Some of the defending sounded terrible on the radio and Adam Murray was going crackers about it on the commentary. Sounded like Grainger got an absolute roasting byu their winger. They hit the bar a few times and missed some really easy chances by the sound of things. But you have to make the most of the luck while it lasts in this game. We always look like we are going to score a goal.... it's just a question of how many the opposition score from the multiple chances we always give them. It's going to be a roller coaster of a season.

Funny reading this thread having been at the game and seeing so many folk thinking we must have played poorly from the highlights and the commentary. We didn't at all.

They had perhaps two or three clear chances in the whole game, as did we. True, they had far more possession and territory but we set up to absorb them and attack on the break and largely did that pretty well. Cox is going to have a couple of decent dings in any game so that's a given - they look spectacular as they both hit the bar.

By and large I thought we played really well. The defensive unit (which I'd include Joyce and Dicker with) was outstanding, especially Raynes and Gillesphey and McQueen must have run further than any Carlisle player in memory to give an outlet. It was the archetypal 'professional job' of an away win.

Good to hear a view from somebody who was there. Well that sounds a lot better than it did on commentary last night. Maybe the comentators are a lot more pessimistic than you.
