ISIS have launched the biggest Trojan horse in history.

The mass migration from Syria is the perfect foil to implant operatives into Europe.

This will never end, welcome to the new world order.

The above is more or less the future. Sadly, only the naive will think this won't happen again or can be easily prevented. More worrying is that it will more than likely come to our shores sooner or later.

Oh the BNP and EDL will be chuffed to bits but the non extremist, ordinary man on the street in this country will now be starting to have grave concerns about what our security services can do to attempt to thwart the lunatics on our shores. Will there be a public backlash? Should there be a public backlash? Will this spur the muslim community to get it's own house in order over here and worldwide? Far more questions than answers!

Imagine the situation, your on a packed tube train or bus on Monday morning and a burka clad person gets on carrying a rucksack, how do you feel after yesterday?

What I'm trying to get my head round is what they actually want ?

So, if you sat down with the people that actually did this before it happened yesterday afternoon and said " what do we need to do to stop this happening?"
What would they say?

France has the biggest muslim population in Europe, are they targeting them because they are not radicalised?,

If they created an Islamic state in Syria, would it all,be over?

There should be a backlash against the idiotic, brain dead, non elected EU politicians who instigated this by allowing anyone to enter Europe unchecked.

They should hang their heads in shame.

Could end up just like the riots a few years back.

A good few bombs going off over here and you are going to have a lot of people who have had loved ones killed and will turn into mercenaries as they have had everything taken away from them that they have and will possibly start targeting Muslims.

I don't think we should cancel the England France match - its an opportunity to show the world we are united - it can be much more than a football match with Wembley having cards showing the Tricolor - it will send a strong message and show we share their pain.

No official statement yet, the FA have just said they'll comment in due course. I agree they should play as a stand...

They are attacking France to radicalise them.

Attack the country with the biggest muslim population is Europe -> create divisions within their society as people blame Muslims in general for the bombings rather than ISIS -> radicalise those who are now being blamed.

They probably wouldn't want anything, they purely wanted to kill civilians to shown they could hence why they bombed outside a football game the French president was it. It's for show and to make it seem like nowhere is safe.

Three things could seriously reduce the issue.

1. The USA needs to f**k off arming animals like Israel while they butcher countless innocent civilians with their weapons, that whole thing is like a fully armed soldier fighting a kid with a spud gun over land they were given as a temporary fix to their problems...they've thanked the world ever since by being exactly what forced them there in the first place. It all just pours copious fuel on the fire.

2. Political Correctness has to be ditched, it stops security services doing their job, it stops foreign policy being effective and it ties everyone's hands behind their back while the murdering minority exploit it to their advantage...all for the irrational fear of upsetting someone.

Then there's the majority of Muslim people/countries/leaders who do nothing while ISIS/IS/ISIL (or whatever they're called this week) massacre, murder and butcher their way across their own back yard....if they don't represent that faith, if they're equally abhorrent to them as they are to the rest of the world...why do nothing?

Probably same reason few people don't challenge gangsters, drug dealers etc in England - if they do then they and their loved ones will come unstuck/harmed, I would say much more though in this case.

The most accurate reports suggest they have forces of between 100-200k, and assets worth upto $2bn. They make $2.5m a day from the oil wells they took in Iraq.
Meaning they can afford top equipment.

The only countries around them that could really so anything are the Saudi's and the Turks, and it's questionable whether either of them would.

Iraq and Libya are prime cases of what happens when the West decide to get rid of a local Strongman. The groups they were keeping down can often end up to be much worse.

Wazza I wasn't talking about individuals, I'm talking about governments and countries, Iran, Jordan etc...
Not really the same as standing up to gangsters is it? It's not face to face personal, bloke two doors down....

Happy... Who do I think are the people fighting them in the Middle East? Assad on his own actually, and the other Syrian factions in a civil war...between fighting Assad that is... but where are the "Arab nations" in doing something about ISIS?
If someone attacked Britain in the same way ISIS are carving up Syria you'd expect our allies and friends to help out if we weren't coping, this wasn't possible before but now ISIS have emerged there's a clear target that's actually worse than Assad himself they could do more....you have to ask why is it France and the USA are the main providers of air support to hit ISIS???

US foreign policy is shameful, Bush Jr should be tried for corruption and war crimes in Israel & Iraq. United Defence don't make his family money unless they've got a buyers for their weapons.....

Syria is hated by its neighbours in the south. Saudi Arabia actively helps rebels fighting against Assad english.al-akhbar.com/node/3906 SA funds the rebels, ISIS whatever you want to call them

The US hates Assad as well. Assad is a strong supporter of both Iran and Russia. Russia for example uses Syria's ports as military bases so giving them a foothold in the Mediterranean. The US was funding rebels in Libya to bring down Qaddafi. When he fell they moved those fighters across to Syria voiceofdetroit.net/2015/02/09/the-covert...ia-iraq-afghanistan/

The US and Britain haven't been attacking ISIS, they have been attacking the Syrian Government troops. Look at the BBC maps. The whole of the middle of Syria is a desert. ISIS allegedly crossed that desert. Three days with no cover what so ever and the USAF and RAF watching over them and not one air srike? Thatis why Russia has gone in, to protect it's interests and to defend Assad. Russia is the only key power which is hitting ISIS. After 2 and a half years the UK finally killed Jihadi John? www.express.co.uk/news/world/613204/Russ...ading-Vladimir-Putin

Air strikes are really not the answer they are the problem, they are not helping as were not hitting the right targets and we're killing innocent people, also Lebanese,Free Syrian Army, Islamic Front troops are fighting isis ,

Haven't we (UK) not had anything to do with Syria so far.

The politically correct brigade, have alot to answer for, there are words and expressions we cannot say, and daily habits we cannot carry out for fear of upsetting some religious minority.
To most the words Muslims and Islam (I did not say all) means suicide bomber, terrorist, beheading, extremist a creeping plague that only brings misery. The trigger for this recent nonsense may well have been Bush/Blair but it is not the cause. The cause is historical, this is just another time with Bombs and Kalashnikov's. Gundog nailed it earlier in the post's, there will be a Muslim backlash (probably from one of the European right wing Countries) however that simply plays into there hands I'm afraid.
Once the back-lash begins the Islamic Caliph becomes stronger as Muslims worldwide turn to him for help and support. Exactly what they want. The moderate Muslims need to get off there behinds very quickly and start educating us all on Islam being against killing, and female suppression, because I for one need one hell of alot of convincing !!

Syria is an Islamic state is it not - but like everywhere there are small factions who follow other religions - well there used to be! Not sure if ISIS have wiped them out yet.

As with all religions the key word IMHO ,is HYPOCRACY.............What we are seeing tho is a creeping ideology spread by those who have failed to make something of themselves and the chip on the shoulder is massive.

It amazes me that nobody ever goes back to the source of all this ideology. You don't solve something by messing around the periphery. Syria could be at peace and this type of terrorism would still be around. Its just shifting the problem around. Move it to places where the government is weak and they can exploit that. Afghan, Iraq, Syria, Northern Nigeria, Somalia. If those places become stable it will move elsewhere.

We need to deal with the problem at the source. And the source of the ideology, the money, the spiritual leaders, the organisation, the lot, is Saudi Arabia. Wahhabism - that is the source. But of course we cant deal with it at the source because the west is so dependent on Saudi for oil and cash. Sad situation where money comes before innocent lives, but not a surprising one.

Adam Curtis' excellent "Bitter Lake" documentary on BBC iPlayer goes into detail on this - really fascinating film. Over 2 hours long and gets very deep but well worth a watch:

This attack will be remebered for a long time, but the recent Christian terrorism acts will be forgotten:
Wisconsin Sikh Temple massacre
Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church shooting
The Centennial Olympic Park bombing
Suicide attack on IRS building in Austin, Texas

In the last 2 weeks we've had bombings in Ankara , the Russian plane taken down , the bombing in Beirut plus Paris. All IS and all utterly shit. But I must have missed people on facebook changing their status so it looked like a Lebanese flag, or Tower Bridge being lit up in Turkish colours or Jason Manford having a sweary rant on behalf of the victims of the Russian plane attack. Clearly as westerners what happened in Paris is far more shocking than the rest - we've probably become desensitised to images of bloodshed outside Europe, and we identify far more easily with those in Paris who come from a similar culture as ours. However, more shocking that Friday night was it wasn't more tragic.

We all need to wake up to the fact that these nasty little IS fuckers are anti everybody, including other Muslims. They need dealing with - and very quickly - but turning on the Muslim communities in our country isn't going to help anybody.

Countries in the Middle East need strong leadership we might not like it because it's not like our democracy but it works fir them. Sadly our interference in Iraq and Libya along with our support of Syrian rebels has allowed IS to flourish. No way would they be around if Saddam or Gadaffi were still in power they would have all disappeared overnight.

Now we need to protect ourselves and give the security services the powers they need. If that Chakrabati women doesn't like it then I suggest she buggers off to Iraq for a chat with IS. I agree there should be no backlash against the Muslim community but they need to out in force decrying the extremist and pointing out to the authorities those who hold extreme views. If they don't they are condoning the actions of these animals and in my mind as guilty as those who pulled the trigger.

IS are not the ultimate source of this evil. They are the most popular group at the moment within extreme Sunni Islam. But they are just the most visible part of a larger ideology. It was AL Qaeda before them and other groups before them. Destroy IS and another group will take its place as the leading proponent, just as IS took over from AL Qaeda once we started to impede their operations. It could be Boko Haram or Al Shabaab, but another group will crop up almost as soon as IS has been defeated. Its not just the individual group alone we need to target, it needs to be the ideology and support network as well. And that leads us to Saudi Arabia. And that's why there will be a big show made about bombing Syria and destroying IS, but not much mention of actually tackling what everyone knows is the ultimate source of these poisonous ideas.

Strange that historically we never get on with the French, myself and many others have not much time for them and vice versa.

Yet we all feel the pain that they suffered just like it happened over here.

Decent countries pull together in situations like this.

When ISIS was operating in Libya the US was shipping them guns. That is only allowed to non terror groups so the CIA tagged them as 'non threatening'. When they shifted across to Syria it meant that the US couldn't attack them so they had to invent a new non existent terror group and that technically is who they are at war with. www.nationalreview.com/article/388990/kh...st-andrew-c-mccarthy

The US had similar problems with Boko Haram. They were selling them weapons so therefore couldn't officially classify them as terrorists. Hillary Clinton stood God knows how many times at the UN spouting on about woman rights but simultaneously wouldn't classify BH as terrorists even though they kidnapped up to 10000 girls,.

Zebby as valid as your point on religion is, it is only an excuse they use to justify what is ostensibly mass murder. If religion wasn't there they would use something else. the corn laws or poll tax perhaps
