3/10.. Because players have gone and too many loans brought in. You have to replace an asset and they did not.
Very much a sign to the fans- The BoD do NOT want to go up.
There is no investor. If there was there would have been more positivity in the players brought in.
if there was an "investor" there would have been no need to sell Wyke... even if the release clause was triggered he could have been told we'll match their wages offer if you stay as the "investor" is coming in and you'll be playing in the Championship with us in a few years....
I'd say a 4/10 as at least we brought in Waring and Proctor so there clearly was a back up plan if Wyke left. Maybe either one or the other was already planned on coming in if he stayed.
Ellis McKee and Brisley were transfer listed so no surprise that McKee left by mutual consent and Ellis out on loan. Begs the question asked elsewhere why we even bothered to sign McKee and give Eliis a contract to 2018. Ditto re Penn.
If I play devils advocate we are OK in midfield if that is where Liddle was signed to play but short at the back.... but Curle clearly sees him as a centre half so in that case why let McKee go or no have another central midfielder signed up? Clearly we need a left back as Grainger's season looks as good as over.
The only positive is if we do by some miracle get promoted which I hope we do... then we have the spine of a good squad and Curle can attract League 1 level players to add to it if we went up.
