Would hope my avatar gives it away.
Was supposed to be at the Olympic Stadium last weekend - tickets, hotel booked, the lot but the wife has done her back in. Chuffed to bits that i'll get two more bites of the cherry in Nov (London & Manc). Haven't missed a tour since Devotional.
Been on the go over 30 years. Tour every three, a minimum of 3 continents and 100 nights per tour. Not bad going for a "boy band".

Thin Lizzy
I read a great biography of Phil Lynott recently that, amongst other things, told the stories behind many of his songs.

Sabbath/Thin Lizzy/Zep/Deep Purple/Uriah Heep/The Who/Rory Gallagher/ etc etc---all great.
But to single one out, I'd say Santana.

The White Stripes.
Absolutely devastated when I booked tickets and Meg fell poorly so they couldn't fly. They then split up before they reschedules the tour.
Did see Jack White on his solo tour, best moment of my life.

No piss take, gentle ribbing. If i had any hair left, i'd not wash it for a year in solidarity with your pick for top band.

Pink Floyd for me (I have 62 CDs including solo stuff and naughty ones, plus about 9 DVDs + some Rare Vinyl), although I have a hell of a soft spot for the Waterboys (38 Cds)

Too many to pick from TBH but I'd probably go for Smashing Pumpkins apart from that scandalous Adore Album.

All time favourite - Pink Floyd (saw them 7 times).
Favourite band that's still on the go - The Waterboys, The Church or The Pineapple Thief.

Only you or MRF could come on a thread asking for your favourite band but still have something to complain about them.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Seeing him in September and I can't wait. Stunning songs from a bloke that doesn't get half the credit or success he deserves. Every album is different and there isn't a duffer amongst them.

Not my particular cup of tea, got three or four albums and gave him a chance but he is hard going.
Mercy Seat and Into My Arms are quality and that one with Kylie isn't bad.
He desperately wants to be Leonard Cohen and doesn't do a bad job of it but I also find Leonard Cohen hard going.

I’ve got an Eclectic taste. So it's extremely difficult to choose WHO you may wonder. .
Already mentioned in the thread PH in his many guises & FM but for me it has to be Genesis for originality and thought provoking words and music.
Tho’ currently, I’m so enjoying listening to the words and the music of Clean Bandit.

Voice Of The Beehive were ace, got two of their albums - just not as good as Buzzcocks.
Buzzcocks are one of those bands that are probably better live than on record.
Singles - Going Steady is a masterpiece.
