Corr.. thats a hard one.
I would have plumped for Tygers of Pan Tang or Saxon but loving Monster Truck at the moment.
50/50....
I'll have to stay loyal to SAXON!!!
Seeing them and Monster Truck at Steelhouse next month!!

Very difficult to choose just one. I decided, in the end, on the Desert Island Discs approach - I can only take one band's music to listen to. So, is there a band whose music I love and know really well but always find something new each time I listen?

Hard to put one on top of the pile but since I'm seeing them again in a couple of weeks' time, it'll have to be 'Everything Everything'.
If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

My best band was in the 1980s and I came home on leave from Berlin and the Pagoda changed hands and the had bouncers on the door and a new dress code. As I was walking in the bouncer on the door stopped me and said "Are those jeans?" and I replied "No, they are mine!" That is when he said your banned.

Having followed this thread I am assuming that those bands who are the most commercially popular have been excluded.
Either that or we do live in a bit of a bubble in this area, you can't all live in Frizington.

Which bands in particular should we have picked? Only one I may have considered that may fit your bill would be Queen.

Unless I am particulary stupid, which I am not ruling out, by the way, but I can't find any mention of The Beatles,Rolling Stones, The Who or U2.

But out of those two, I reckon two of them are shit in my opinion.
Of the two I find shit one of them contains a paedo and the other ones singer is more famous these days asking for money than he is singing.

It's probably just as well Elton John wasn't included in that list.

I don't think any of the bands mentioned are that obscure though.
What I have found refreshing is that everybody has picked "proper" music rather than chart/pop shit. No mention of Adele or Justin Bieber anywhere. If I conducted the same poll at work I would be the only person who wouldn't respond with Ed Sheeran so it's been nice to be reminded there are actually still a lot of people out there that appreciate good music!

Kraftwerk. Off to see them in Edinburgh on Saturday night and stopping in Laffy's hotel.
