The next CUSG Meeting is scheduled for next Monday (6th Sept).
This is a reminder that we will not be attending, having tendered our resignation from the Group recently.
If you have any Questions you would like raised via the Meeting, you are advised to email them in to the CUSG email address - Hello@cusg.co.uk
By all means post on here the Question’s you’re sending in, for discussion etc, but please note we won’t be sending them in for you!
We’ll still operate a Thread for these Meetings, as people like to discuss the information that comes out from them.

My reply was from Simon. He’s stepped down as Chair since he became SLO, but possibly only he has access to the Email address currently, given that as far we’re aware, no permanent Chair is in place yet.
I would hope the subject of receiving Q’s is discussed tonight, as for it to fall away would be disappointing. We may be just about the only folk who took them, but that’s because our Users knew they would be asked on their behalf.
Kessler, I think if they do continue, it should be down to CUSG to collate and sort. That way it’s all kept central, and they’d be published alongside the Minutes as present. If folk are encouraged to send them direct to the relevant Group then the whole CUSG brand becomes irrelevant to the average fan. Centralising the Q’s goes hand in hand with the transparency which is a key foundation of all CUSG business IMO…

Mullen could you email them and ask would they be willing to continue accepting questions from the forum if you collated them and sent them in? You're trusted both on here and by CUSG, they might not like your criticism but they know you won't lie about questions for example.

Reason I ask the last part for is:
If it’s a group decision that questions have to go to each group and they won’t do as previous than it’s very poor. It explains that the group has reverted back to the cosy get together ,without doing much, and won’t accept the criticism. Therefore the groups finished in terms of supporter interaction!
If it’s one persons/groups decision then it goes against the constitution without taking it to the group as a whole to vote on. Again the group is finished in terms of any democratic process.
I agree. They are pushing fans away. Whatever they might say about wanting fan engagement, if they aren't going to accept questions from the messageboard anymore that says it all.

I haven’t received answers yet after the questions were forwarded on to the trust.

I’ve put a Q in for the Club, asking about the fact the Ticketing System has gone down on all 3 Home League Games so far.
I received a reply about an Hour later saying that ‘CUSG concur’ with what I had asked, and that NC would be updating on the matter in his update.
I’ve since replied thanking for the reply but also adding I look forward to the answer to my Q…

But I didn’t want to do it this meeting as wanted to see the shit show and passing the buck and were proved right. Also it shows what a good job CCU/Mouldy did.

I think that's a terrible way of looking at things. Fans should be able to criticize the club or ask questions without fearing retaliation in their personal or professional lives for doing so. The CUSG meetings were one of the ways we could do that.
I simply can't fathom why on earth the club or the Trust would need to know a persons name in order to answer a question. What are their motives for wanting one, what legitimate reason could they possibly have for wanting that information?

As I’ve said before questions were answered this way and those that weren’t were rightly scrutinised.
The trust take an age to reply, if they decide to.

Yep - I think it’s been decided already!
If Bumble has an alternative suggestion she can sit on Monday and suggest but the reply was quite clear as to what’s now expected.

Personally if I want to know something I ask a question, if I think that asking a question may get me into trouble then should I really be asking it . Simple enough concept to me , ask via a group or e mail NC usually does the trick , but I wouldn't ask a question that would never be answered then moan about it eg how much is XY on a year or does YZ dress to the left or right

I want to say that for once, I wholeheartedly agree you with CCU. Fan engagement has been a problem for a long time at BP, but I feel like the regular Q&A's helped a little bit to address that.

By suggesting these fans should simply contact the Group’s direct with any questions they are being denied access via the collective process. Some fans feel that asking via CUSG is their only avenue given previous dealings with some of the Groups.
A rocky road to begin wandering down IMO…
